I'm having real trouble with this.

Although I mostly know the track, the problem is the instant disqualification if I lightly touch another car. Very occassionally I'll collide with another car and it wont disqualify me!!?? :dunce:

Could any of you experts out there give me a few tips on how to do it?

TIA 👍

There's a thread with a video and commentary for all the license tests up here, I would link you to it but I'm on my blasted phone. I'm sure someone will get it momentarily 👍. Good luck!

Welcome to GTPlanet :).

Tapping the rear of a car you're following will get you disqualified as will hitting a car on the inside of a turn however so slight it may be. Try over taking on the outside if you can time it right and if you do happen to bump the other car the penalty shouldn't apply because you're not obstructing the racing line. I would also post a link to the video but I have no idea where it is.

Many thanks for the replies 👍

I'll have search for the video. Looks like I need a bit more practice :)

Are you seriously telling me that some of you actually get GOLD on this race?? Wow!! Unbelievable!! Well done :)

It really is all about practice. If you're new to the series then even more so.
I took me several hours of attempts before I could manage gold!

It's not too difficult. My main problem was braking into turn one on the second lap, I kept spinning because the Gallardo sucks for braking stability.

You should ideally be in second place by the start of lap 2 (Or at least by the exit of turn 1) and as long as you run a clean lap you should win. Overtaking on the outside is easier in some places, and the AI backs off and gives room if you're close during a corner so it's no problem. They do take an odd line into some corners though, essentially cutting off the apex in the braking zone meaning it's impossible to take the inside line without contact, just place your car well and take it easy through the corners and you should be fine.
