hey guys I've reacently purchased a LG 42LX6500 3D TV.

It has the NetCAST option on it (Basic internet apps) but needs to either to be wired via the LAN plug or has to have a USB dongle congle pluged in to make it wirless.

Now my question is, is it posible to run a wire from the LAN plug on both my PS3 and TV to each other, alowing the TV to pick up the Internet conection Via my PS3 wirless conection. Basicly using my PS3 as a HUB!

Thanks for your time. 👍

Don't think so.

It will most likely use the Ethernet for Internet or connecting to a media server(don't know about this) but it can connect through another device and use it as a switch.

If the TV doesn't state that it can do NetCAST via wireless then it won't work. Also the PS3 can't be used as a hub anyway.

It can use both wired and Wireless, Problem is the Hub is downstairs and dont want to run a wire all that way. So looks like I'll be buying a USB dongle.

thanks guys

Unless you want to run Ethernet cable through the walls and get one of those Ethernet wall jacks to make it look clean.

But the Wifi Dongle is best COA in my view.

I have an internet enabled tv (Sony) and you can either do wireless with a dongle (sold seperatly) or wired using earthenet. I wired mine to my iMac and used my mac as a wireless hub and shared Internet access.
