Not to be rude, but duh all books are going to be boring if all books you read are from school. School is not a good place to find the gems in the rough – most English teachers today have been indoctrinated into following Post-Modernism, so most “academic” literature tends to be obfuscated crap that nobody likes. I guarantee you that if you look outside of the circle of academia, you’ll find many, many, many good books. You just have to be proactive in finding them. ;)

I've already looked at the library. And not all of the books that we're required to read are the teacher's choice, some we have to read so we can write a required book review.

I only like reference works and that kind of crap. I read radom stuff from Wikipedia a lot. I have recently attempted to read Dr. Zhivago. I love the descriptions and stuff, but it's too drawn out, so I never finished it. (Back to Wikipedia!) Nothing at the library appeals to me. Nothing.

Sonny, let me tell you about the old days...

No, seriously. I've had an active internet account for 15 years. If I find one thing every six months that's actually interesting, I count myself lucky.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about web 2.0 stuff, and how to use it to make the stuff I create on the web more dynamic and cool. But that's more abstract thinking than anything else.

When I get bored with what I find, I think about creation rather than consumption.

When I was reading, I was all dazed and my eyes were all weird, everytime there was a headache starting, I was always distracted by thinking about something else so I was never really in the story... I simply gave...

It always been the same lol

You should take a trip to the opticians. Sounds like you might need glasses. My dad had the same problem, hes not much of a reader but when he did it gave him headaches, and he was getting a little dizzy. A quick trip to the eye docter and a pair of glasses later all was fixed.

Spec....

I do not find the internet boring at all. I learn daily from it and its fun to visit car and game forums. Forums like this are what keep me interrested in games longer than usual. I play a game, post pics or videos of it and discuss opinions of the game. Then meet people online to play with them there. There is always something going on every day that interrests me. I visit gametrailers.com every day at lunch time during the workweek to check out new games coming out and any new trailers or reviews. Forums are really nice when you have hobbies and can post about them. The best part is when people reply that are interrested and you can post updated information for them to check out. If I ever feel bored at all I go to the GT4 photomode thread or a different game thread and pull a different game out. I guess if I didnt have a girlfriend, full time job, and plenty of hobbies then yeah mabey the internet would get boring. I just have soo much stuff going on in life and its always nice to share it with everyone. :)

The way I keep myself interested on the net is variety. Today I have been on BATracer, MySpace, ITV.com/f1, GTP, heck even the BBC weather forcast to find out why it's so damn hot today!!

Also, if your a gamer with a good sense of imagination, why not continue a game after its finished? A awesome site called
Fan Fiction lets people write stories continuing on from games, great time consumer and its a great read too!

There's my 'smart' comment for the day...

I guess this thread can entertain me for a few minutes:rolleyes::(

I'm very bored too, it's holidays in here. I live right in the city, with the malls and stuff very close to me. Problem is that no kid lives here...it's soo ****ing annoying to be honest. I cant just walk over to some friends and gather them for soccer or something just to kill some time. No, if I wanna play soccer for an hour I almost need to make an apointment. Others that I know through my school, believe it or not, all live several miles away (not like I have a car yet). I've been "wishing" for some years now to move out of this friggin place...

I'm getting tired of everything I have on my computer to be honest. Every game gets soo boring, and very quickly you know? I'm not gonna buy another game cause I know it'll just be a waste of money.

On the reading subject, I agree 110%!

Right now, I'm currently reading up on Lamborghini (as if I even need to these days), and also on the pin points and ways of Car Salesmen, particularly Exotic Used Car Salesmen.;)
