Im planning on starting a group in the forum. I dont know if there already is one cause im new, but i want to start a group of hardcore GT2-3 players. and name us the Akina Speed stars ( Or whatever you guys want to be, i appreciate insight) IF interested, send me a message.

I'm a D junkie, while a very poor drifter in GT2. I do however sport the entire first season on my comp! YAY! But yeah I love ID

*itsuki's voice* Kuuuuu~!!!! I love Initial D!!!!! it is what made me realized cars are actually cool ^.^ when i can buy cd's the whole series is getting dloaded  Starting a forum would be the best!

is that what they call it when flames blow out of the pipes between gears? i haven't met anyone able to explain that since i saw a Mustang do it racing a Camaro.

yeah the show refers to it as a misfiring system, maybe it is good for annoying your opponets with the *bang* *bang* like how takumi was getting annoyed by it. and then, well *sniff* i wont ruin it.

It's just a little bit of excess fuel getting into the exhaust after the driver's backed out of the throttle - it ignites inside the exhaust pipe.

The misfire system is just a specially set exhaust system designed to release the excess igniting fuel from the motor without degrading performance. Essentially, the engine is running rich, and the exhaust manifold and catylytic converter are set up in some not restricting way that allows the gasses to pass through it, almost acting as a vacuum to pull the engine like a turbo charger. The system may also sport spark plugs in the manifold, so that the ignition time is least constricting on performance. I guess this takes pressure off the exhaust manifold which allows the car to run continuously at very high rpm with a turbocharger. The way it works is still a little fuzzy to me, but this is the best I can say at the moment.

Glad to see that my first post has already taken shape. Ill get to making the forum soon. Im a Wandering student so i dont have much time. But hey, i have a question, How does the Impact blue team work? theres only two girls in the blue sileighty, how do they work? Sorry if i seem clueless, i only started on the series a few months ago. I have A AE86 Trueno ( I said that earlier huh?) and im having the Speed stars stickers made as we speak. I also have a 240SX K's. ( my uncle imported it from japan) and left it in my possesion. ( Hes currently fighting in the war) I already put the Impact Blue sticker on it. it looks pretty cool. (Blue with white sideskirts and spolier). I cant send any pictures, ( Not yet anyway) but when i get around to doing so, I will. Glad to see there are a lot of initial D fans responding, Lets get this started.

well, the misfiring system basically keeps a turbocharger's turbine spinning, getting rid of turbo lag. the downside of the misfiring system is that after a few hundred kms, it'll ruin and destroy your exhaust system.

Well, I've only seen a few episodes of Initial D Stage One; trying to hunt it down so I can see the rest. Great series, and the inspiration for my nick, heh.

In fact, Initial D and GT3 are what got me interested in cars and racing. I'm 21 and don't have my license yet! Not even a learner's, though I plan on getting one this week if possible.

I'm not great at drifting in GT3, but I'm not a horrible driver. Anyone here played the Initial D arcade games?

i wanna play the games so bad, but i'm pretty sure the Ps version is import, and they don't have import arcade machines here :(

i have a fully tuned Silvia S14 K's

Bastid, I only have a white MR-2 G-Limited with wheels and a race muffler. Although that's because I ran out of money when I was about to face the guy in his R32.

I love Initial D: Arcade Stage !!

I've only played for 2 days, and I've already beat Ryusuki on Akina uphill. I'm having trouble beating Takumi, though.

Not bad for a S13 with only 55k points.

I am a huge Initial D fan......got all the eps.......also i have the PS game(its so fun)........it is a import so you have to have a plug mod........i am gonna get a PS2 mod chip so it will run import games and then im gonna buy Initial D Special Stage for PS2.........i cant wait....

Keisuke--------

I've got access to both Initial D arcade machines, but I'm not sure they have the cards that store your stats. So I'm not sure if I should play, at least until I find a card.

i do play initial D arcade stage but its too easy except for bunta but the rest isnt that hard

BTW i have a fully modded ae86 and 200 *** points :D

I'm in, for sure ;)

By the way, some of the descriptions of the 'misfiring system' are inaccurate. Here's how it goes :

It's a turbo anti-lag system. This is within the ECU's functionality. When the throttle is lifted off, the ECU will retard the ignition timing, and send some fuel out of the cylinders into the extractor, and upon contact, it ignites and spins the turbine. So, the turbine wouldn't need to spool up so much when the throttle next opens, or it may not need to spool at all, which is optimal. Then some of the fuel makes it out of the exhaust system.

Like mentioned, this'll kill the exhausts system in a while.

NightKid, you have Initial D Arcade Stage machines in your area and they don't have cards in them? Try putting in whatever it is it costs to play the game and then putting in the same amount again, that should make you a card. If the thing can't make cards, contact whoever works there about the problem.
