Yes, I have a few parrots around the house. This was a few nights ago, while racing.

Yes, it can be distracting.

Before anyone makes a comment on my waist line, I'm sitting in a recliner.

Birds the Sequel. . . Attack of the controller

you sir have a nice girly waistline :p

whos doing the driving there?
or should i ask, who drives the best? ;)

we should make this a pets helping out thread.
I'll get my wife to email me one of my cats helping me drive... hehe!

Waahoh! Birds taking command of your controller?! Now THAT is a bizarre thing  :p

Before any comments about your waistline, how about the parrot molestation charges... oh wait, there's a playstation controller there.

Indeed, funny alta, nice lookin birdy though.

wait a second, I didn't see a waist?!?!?! you sure you see it Kent?

So that is what you mean by "Aviculture"... and here all this time I thought it meant something about belt size increasing as a result of sitting around in recliners avidly partaking of snacks and such while enjoying the subculture of GT3 or similar.:D

At any rate, as an architect you should be well aware of the addage my great uncle the farmer used: "If you have a good tool, it is good you should build a shed for it."

It wasn't the waistline I was going to comment on, it was the double chin. But then I remembered you've met me in person, so I better shut it.

Any damage to the controller?

My kitten used to jump in my lap and curl up under the controller during late-night runs. He still does. The problem is that now he's pushing 20 pounds in weight...

more chins than a chinese phone directory...

oh well, at least he doesnt have my receeding hair line

think you were paying too much attention to the pic neon :p

Ahhh... The family curse. My brothers, father, and grandfather have that cursed chin. One brother has in fact started saving for plastic surgery. No Kidding. He's 170lbs, and carries less than 10% body fat.

As for damaged controllers, That little cockatoo bit right through one cable while I was playing. She's torn the analog sticks out of one controller while I wasn't looking. As for lap times, I can't count how many she's messed up.

interesting... ya let them fly free in the house? have they ever attacked a guest or do ya cage them when you have guests?

Actually, even though it would throw off my [already horrible] lap times, I wouldn't mind having a parrot crawling around. :) Though, I can definitely imagine the damage that they can do... I had one rat who ate through the power cord of my Sega Genesis in a matter of seconds, and she obviously had teeny teeth compared to a parrot's.

I do believe that Parrots have beaks not teeth, but that may only be myth

how much does parrots cost cuz here in montreal ,they are 2000$ minimum speacialy like those white one,i saw one once for 3500$

Regardless of how much I love parrots (and parakeets for that matter) if one should ever mess with my PS2 or any of its peripherals then it's personal. :irked:

Yes they are expensive, but certainly than children. Most of our parrots (we have 10) were rescues. Someone bought it thinking "such a lovely bird!" Then they found out the Cockatoos can reach upwards of 125db. Or the brid self destructed, and chewed all it's feathers off. No more pretty bird. Wanna see what can happen? www.mytoos.com

Yep, one big beak. 300-400psi on the macaw. I've not had to get stitches yet, but I'm expecting it at some point.

Yes, they have cages, but spend the majority on a play gym or swing. We don't have a dining room. It's full of stands and gyms.

Yes, it was uncomfortable... but the poor bugger had just been washed and was hiding from his mum. I took pitty on him :)

Ahhhhh . . . he is so big. Everyone run, it's Godzilla. No, only kidding. Geez, I haven't been posting on the boards in forever. How has everyone been?

I don't think I could ever play GT3 or any game where I really needed lots of concentration to play with a cat sitting in my lap . . . but never had that happen, so I wouldn't know.

I wont comment about your waistline, but I will comment on the fact that your wife is not in the pic. ;)
