Hi guys,
Just thought I would drop a note in this forum about a recent bad experience i have had with the UK electrical retailer Comet.
3 months ago my Sharp lcd television developed a hiss which i immediately reported, Comet have taken the television away 4 times to examine, I have had 2 on site engineer visits (2 days holidays used for that), 2 new main boards, and about 8 trips to my local comet which is 35 miles away.
And guess what, its still not fixed. Speaking to their customer services is the closest you can get to banging your head against a brick wall without actually doing it.
They were going to send an engineer out again but I told them not to bother as i have hooked up a pair of logitech PC speakers which mean i dont need to use the telly speakers.
I know alot of you might be investing in new 3d lcds for GT5 so just be warned, having researched the company on-line it would seem they have a horrendous customer service record and will do absolutely anything to avoid supplying a replacement or a refund. They were even investigated by trading standards due to the large number of customers complaints (according to their wiki page anyway)
From now on all my appliances will be bought from Tesco, who have never quibbled over anything I have had problems with.
Lesson learnt: Avoid Vomet, I mean Comet.
