Anyone know why the hell with the new iOS 6 update they took away YouTube and it still hasn't been released back for the iPad?

They took away YouTube as Apple seem to be distancing themselves with Google, so the inbuilt app is gone. And about the other point, I'm sure they're working on it. In the meantime, you could use YouTube on Safari.

I can't on safari because since apple doesn't support flash player I can only play a small amount of videos so its kind of pointless

Just get the YouTube App from Google on the App Store. It's much better than the stock App.

It looks a lot more like the Android Ice Cream Sandwich/Jellybean app now.

It's not iPad optimised yet, so that's why the OP is complaining.

Ahh, didn't know. Well that's good of Google. As my iPad is old I can't upgrade to iOS 6. Guess Safari or Chrome it is then till specific app is out.

I imagine they're not going to be getting too excited about releasing platform specific apps for their main competitor! Especially when Android comes with a YouTube app and widget built in; it's an advantage no matter how small it is.

Very true, I read an interesting article and interview with Steve Wozniak and he made a comment on that Apple need to support Android with iTunes to open up a bigger market share, but I also see a opportunity of burying the hatchet a little with Google. They are both good companies and have very similar outlooks and ethos.
