It took me a long ass time to finally instal it, but it eventually worked. Idk they made such a big deal about it being super great however I'm not seeing that much amazement. I like a couple new things, but they are really new just different views and such. Like when you get a txt it appears at the top instead of popping up in the middle of the screen ruining whatever you were doing. Other small stuff like that is nice but meh. In photos there is a small time edit and crop which is good, but photoshop app could make those changes and much more. There is a new window thing where you slide you finger from top to bottom no matter what screen your one and it shows you the weather, stocks, and any txt or calls you have missed. I want it to also show you calendar and new to do list stuff as well (maybe you can do this and I haven't figured it out yet). I also want to show events and such in the lock screen. That way you dont have to unlock and go to the app to check stuff. I'm not super impressed with it overall.

My Photo Stream doesn't appear to be working, there's no photos in the Photo Stream folder on my iPhone and no photos have been uploaded to the folder on my PC. iCloud is on and Photo Stream is set to on in the iCloud options but so far it's only working for calendar, contacts & reminders.

Any ideas?

Well I've found some bugs with mobile safari in iOS5. As stated already I've put it on two iPhones and an iPad and I've found that mobile safari has three bugs:

1st - when loading pages they sometimes don't fully load. You have to put it from portrait to landscape back to portrait just to get the rest of the page to load.

2nd - When typing in safari the keyboard slows down very quickly, I type pretty fast and the previous version of safari could easily keep up. But the new version is just slow.

3rd - links to things on websites don't load, for example the link above this post for the instructions to get rid of newsstand doesnt load correctly, it opens either a new tab or page but doesn't actually load the content.

Everything else seems ok.

For the 3rd issue, return to your previous tab, then tap on the tab you just opened, and that normally works.

Haven't experienced the 1st or 2nd issue though.

Just tried your tip and it worked. Cheers. (insert internetz pat on back)

Oooh this will be nice although I'm still waiting on the untethered jailbreak that was supposedly ready before iOS5 was launched before I update. :irked:

Your download speed must be measured by glaciers, it took me 6 minutes earlier today. I decided to update without a jailbreak for now and I'm glad I did, I really really like the whole iCloud thing and the notifications look excellent. Everything seems to have sped up a bit and I've yet to notice any extra battery drain.

Thanks for all the replies, I just wanted to know if it's worth the hassle since I need to use a slow laptop for the update. I haven't synced it in months.
