Ipod Help please!

Ok well a few days ago my HD packed up with all my song from Itunes on it. I now have a new HD but when I connected my Ipod it told me to basically delete everything to sync with this new Itunes library.

Is there any other programes where A, I could put them songs on this new HD from the Ipod or add new songs to the Ipod?

It seems to make sense but I've never tried it. I have seen the "nonsensical names" he talks about though. Hope it works 👍
