Today I was trying to download a song off of ITunes and whenever I try to download it it stops at the processing part and stays like this for about 10 minutes. After that, it just stops and the song doesn't download nor does it say it's even purchased. Anybody have any ideas?

Don't know to be completely honest. As far as I know a 3rd gen can't run iOS 5 which is the latest. It'd be whatever the latest version was when I got it last May. Sorry, I'm terrible with this kind of stuff.

I'm stumped. If I could get my hands on it I'd probably be able to figure it out. :ouch:

I'd download it onto the computer you sync it with and then move it onto the 'Pod.

Tried downloading an app to see if it's just the music or what. The app is stuck at the last little percent and has been there for some time. I also tried downloading a different sing but it has to wait for the app to download first.

App won't download either. Just ****ing great. I'm so pissed off with this thing. Does anybody at least know where I can email somebody at Apple for help? I really have no idea what to do with it.

Make sure there aren't any other apps running in the background (to make sure you have RAM available) and see if your iPod has reached it's maximum capacity for storing data.

Deleted all background running apps and still nothing. I also have 1.6 GB left.

Deleted a bunch of apps and now have 3.3 GB. Tried again and still nothing. I also left it completely off all night and that didn't do anything either.

Oh and it's running 4.3.2.

3rd Gen will run IOS 5, just sync to a computer and the update should appear. That could solve your problems.

I tried but apparently somebody deleted ITunes off of the computer. :grumpy: So I'll just have to wait and install that first.

It's good now. I installed iOS 5 and the apps got messed up by not opening but I fixed it now. So now I can download those songs and I have the iOS 5 features.
