So, my moron brother decided he would try to access my iPod touch, enough unsuccessful times for it to now say "IPod is disabled - Try again in (*wait for it*) 22,668,078 minutes" Yep, 15,000 days/43 years. :yuck:

Is there any homemade trick to stopping this, or is it an Apple store kinda thing?

Thanks in advance guys. ;)👍

You don't need to take a box with you to the Genius Bar. There's a serial number on the iPod itself and they can look up history of the device with it. Also, Genius Bar service is free if they can fix it there and on the spot. It only costs money if they have to replace the iPod/parts.

First off, I would try plugging it into the computer the iPod is synced to and open iTunes; see if the iPod will recognize the iTunes and let you put the right passcode in. If not, unfortunately, at this point, your iPod is essentially permanently locked out, and no one, not even the Genius Bar, can get into your iPod. To use your iPod again, you'll have to completely wipe it by putting it in Restore Mode and reinstall the iPod software. You will then have to sync all your contacts, music, apps and information back onto the iPod.

I say Proof of purchase or your invoice as they may think it is stolen and that way you can say that is your device.

The box should also have its serial number so it is a good way to say it is your device as well.
