So I'm thinking about getting iRacing as a friend at the racetrack said he plays in the winter, but I'm unsure about what sort of setup to use, I have a DFGT on a stand that I cannot set my laptop, so I have to set it next to my TV. So, should I buy an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to my TV? Or should I get another type of cable?(I can't think of the name of the cables I'm thinking of, I want to say RGB but I can't remember)

Try and find a RCA to VGA cable or DVI to VGA. DVI is I think for HD, and it acts like component cables. If you have an HDMI output, then you should get a VGA to HDMI.

Other than that I really don't know. Hope what I could provide you though was helpful! :) 👍

Both my computer and tv have hdmi ports, so can't I just get an hdmi, I forgot toention that, or are the graphics for iracing not that great and HDMI would be overkill?

It's a 2010 dell xps 17, what specifically are you looking for?

Definately use HDMI, iRacing looks great in HD. You should be okay with that laptop, just be prepared to turn some settings down to get the best performance.
