Hi guys

Im new to iRacing but not sim racing. I used to race NR2003 but stopped once it stopped being popular. After a few years Im back. Just got the 3 month free one, got a G27 too.

Just wondering if anyone can explain to me the process of the licences?? Or point me in the right direction?? Cheers
 
Actually Maxitsu's most recent post in the "your latest race" thread does a pretty good job. Otherwise check out the resources tab on the main members site and you should find it there.
 
There's also lots of good info on iRacings forum. There's a lot to take in at first, it takes a while to understand it all. It makes sense in the end

That's the single reason a lot of Aussies join iracing :)
Great participation on Sunday and Monday nights for the Falcon , it's a shame a lot of other series' don't get that level of interest.

Hmm that reminds me.. I wanna do a remake skin of Lowndes 2001 Gibson Ford onto the FG. I reckon it would look awesome!

That would look awesome and Im pretty sure its been done but I meant this one:

I dont think this one has been done yet. Gonna do it soon. I reckon it will suit the FG. I made it in rfactor on the BA years ago:

Well Ive done 4 races in the Nvidia cup and slowly improving :dopey:

1st race: Started 10th finished 6th. Just kept it a clean smooth race
2nd race: Started 7th finished 3rd.
3rd race: Started 9th finished 3rd. This was a bit of a crazy one with cars spinning in front of me and I made a bit of contact
4th race: Started 10th finished 2nd.

Slowly getting faster. Im able to do consistent mid 1.02s but cant seem to get that little bit faster. Loving it though! Gonna try the Cadillac soon.

Ive adopted the 'sit behind and wait for mistakes approach'. Worked a treat in my latest race. Was in 5th after the first lap mayhem. As I came up to 4th and 3rd places they spun or ran wide. Guy in second was alot tougher but I was definitely faster. I just kept the pressure on for 10-15 laps until about 3 laps to go he just gave up and let me by haha was shocked as it was great racing
