Does anyone know if iRacing will take a pre paid gift card?

Yes I do it all the time, but don't leave less than $5 on the gift card, you won't be able to buy anything in iRacing if you do that because account recharges require a minimum of $5 (but obviously you can take that <$5 and spend it elsewhere)

Kinda looks like the account-recharge to me, but I'm not sure. Since it isn't on the member site I don't think it would be the same.

Is there any other way beside paypal and credit cards to pay iracing? i dont have a credit card neither im planning to get it and you can have paypal account only if you have any of the credit cards (visa, diners etc, etc..)

You can use a Visa Prepaid Gift Card. Thats what I use to pay.

You can go to your bank and purchase a pre-paid gift card. Most are Visa prepaid.
Or you can go to any electronics/department stores and they should have them at the cashier for you to choose from. Just don't buy a "store giftcard" you can only use that in that store.

I think you can also buy Amazon gift cards and use them to buy a subscription but nothing else.

Yes, you can use a pre-paid Visa gift card. That is how I bought my 1 year membership and a couple of tracks. I actually had to enter the info twice but it did work and the card is listed on my account when I look at my cart.

Here is the U.S. it seems to be a security issue. Many people are really paranoid about using regular credit cards and giving out personal information to venders. As I recall the Play Station Network was hacked a couple of years ago and a lot of account information was stolen.

Conversely, I no longer use a debit card online (or infact, much at all) as I have had my card cloned twice leaving me with the hassle of proving that I hadn't carried the various unauthorised transactions (got all the money refunded but is was a major PITA).

A cloned debit card gives a thief direct access to my money. At least with a credit card, it's not my cash disappearing from the account; there's a temporary 'buffer' there. Obviously I have a responsibility, but it's much easier to dispute credit card transactions. I also get text messages asking if various transactions are legit or not from my credit card company. 👍

Even if you only had a credit card to use on iRacing, surely that would make things easier?

Paypal can take money directly from your bank account, no card required. Except I think it might want a card on file to charge in case your account doesn't have enough funds.
