They dont' have radios, spike strips, and roadblocks to catch stupid punks who do **** like that for thrills?

I hope that was a training exercise.

They sent the entire city's force after a speeder? Damn. Talk about a waste of time and money.

Probably stole the town's leprechaun's gold and they were trying to get it back. Or tainted the Guinness or something. [/poking fun at Irish stereotypes]

Radios are pretty handy for things like this. Makes me feel like any one with some skills could do quite a bit of evasion. Thus the get away videos perhaps...

European police cars seem rather underwhelming in general.

I think the car was robbed or something.. I think they caught him eventually :yuck:

About the guiness comments.. it's weird no one over here really likes it apart from the old people about 65+ :sly:

What's wrong with catching a criminal?

When you have over half a dozen vehicles speeding through populated areas chasing something they clearly can't catch, it is bad. Thus radioing ahead to setup a block. Or just chasing them with a helicopter.

Most high speed pursuits they will limit the number of chase cars and stick to air support and radios to track the suspect. This way they have fewer cars that have a risk to cause damage to the public. It is a problem with the police force is more likely to cause damage to the surroundings than the suspect.

Pffft, I saw 3 Mondeos. We can only dream about having Mondeos for police cars here in Kent...

Yeah, those 1.4 diesels really move.

Seems very bad tactics for everyone to be chasing the same car, no doubt they were expecting the guy to do a runner at some point but there was probably a helicopter on scene pretty quick.

Ireland has one police helicopter..One, also I think its silly to have a land cruiser chase an integra in a housing estate.
The aromoured land rovers are only for up the north.
