Andrew, Chaz, and Jordan haven't had chance to get together for a podcast in a while but luckily, with Spec III and the newly-announced Power Pack right around the corner for GT7 players, a gap opened up to get chin-wagging about the potentials of these new updates, as well as the GT World Series event in Los Angeles and what's to come on GTPlanet soon.

1:04:14 No New F1 Game in 2026
1:08:09 Rennsport & Project Motor Racing
1:08:54 Wrapping Up

Interesting tease at around 32:30 there from Jordan and Andrew….;)

As always a good watch - now get it onto actual podcast services so I can listen to it on my way to work :)

Well for me, it won’t be GT8 so much the same, sure there’ll be some curve balls but as long as they’re GT, I’m good 🙂

Kaz and Jordan cooking. 👨‍🍳👨‍🍳 So in a couple of weeks, GTPlanet will be 25. Congrats! 🎉

I would like to see GT get an F1 license, I wonder what is current situation regarding it as I noticed Real Racing 3 decision to close announcement was exactly a month after EA announced they won't release a standalone F1 26 game.

PDI might get some PS6 dev kits this year so would be great if they can at least announce a new GT game this year. Imagine the leap GT PSP to GT8 PS6P, going to be biggest leap in franchise history.

Regarding track layouts, I wonder if size of game is impacted a lot with more layouts and increasing time of builds. Might take more effort to optimise file sizes and differences in baked lighting. Also with PS4 limitations, they ruled out longer track layouts too. If they switch to real-time lighting for next game, that would massively reduce file size and freedom in time of day for all tracks.

More rain would be nice

Great interview once again hey Jordan, I have a question for you next time you talk to Kaz , ask him the similar question like the track layouts and how come we don’t add dynamic weather to more tracks that are already in the game??

For example, anyone who watches Formula One knows that the Canadian GP always shows up when a rain dance that puts all kinds of action and we got no wet weather

I could, but I can almost guarantee his answer would be a copy-paste of his response about the track layouts. Something along the lines of "we want to, it just takes time", etc.

Thanks Jordan. I really curious to know what kaz is cooking up. I’ll just stay glued to the forum and hopefully something will give soon.
