Rumors seem to be floating around about the IRL running a road course next year, well there seem to be rumors that the road course will be Indianapolis and the IRL will run there Saturday the day before the USGP. I guess Tony George claims that right after the Brickyard 400 they will set the Formula 1 course for the IRL cars to test on. Hmmmm interesting rumor. What do you guys think??

Well, that would be instant concession that the IRL is a 'lesser' formula than F1, so I'd be fairly surprised if that happened - the major open wheeler formulas tend to try and avoid head-to-head comparison of lap times.

Still, I'm sure Indiapolis Speedway would like to see more events on the road course section.

I don't get IRL coverage on Foxtel anymore so it's not like I'd be watching it.

hah i seriuosly doudbt the fact that the people who live around indiana would realy like to see more road course racing considering the fact that it is oval racing central for the whole world. also that tony george would go against the whole idea of creating the irl just for oval racing.

personally i would rather pay $20 to go see a midget&sprint double header at gas city speedway

just for you f1 fans: i have never seen any passing in one of those "parades" and you consider that to be great racing
