redoing this, because it seemed like a good idea(and following daan's advice, no illegal street-racing), post outcomes of races that have turned out just plain wrong.

NOTE: If you post something about an illegal street-race, and daan or another mod closes it, imma be mad, yo. :grumpy:

I was in a drag race yesterday where my friend, Dan, loaned me his Formula Ford, to see what it would do in a drag. so, my opponent was a Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan. I thought, "Heh, this guy's gonna be seeing the tail-end of this Ford before he gets to 20!"
...
light turns green, I slightly smoke the tyres, the Rolls launches in a storm of smoke, and shoots down the line as if it had a Merlin under the hood. 4.0 second Rolls-Royce. needless to say, I lost brutally.

OK, I'm at a loss here. Why are you making up these weird stories? I read the first one and didn't get it either. I'm utterly failing to grasp the point of this exercise in fiction.

I like what Jeremy Clarkson wrote in one of his articles. More or less how racing is pointless because if you are to make an overtaking move you must therefore change line. But since that line is a priori slower than the racing line you can't overtake. In fact you are a keen to experience a horrible death.

Isn't that story a form of street racing?

Also I don't think operating a Formula Ford on the street is legal either for that matter.

I thought it sounded like an actual fake drag race anyway.

Hey, you guys, drag racing is a form of motorsport, he probably did it at an event, not out of randomness on the street, and don't say the light turned green, it was at traffic lights, because there's start lights in drag racing, but they turn off for a go signal, but still, I stand by my opinion

Our point was that he probably didn't do it at all.

*sigh*

I thought this thread got closed. I'm done telling about things that obviously, nobody will believe.

Why would anybody believe someone had a drag race in a borrowed Formula Ford against a 4 second Rolls Royce? It'd need to be a Top Fuel Rolls Royce and, to be frank, that would be slightly obvious.

Like... this sort of obvious:

And even that's about 4,000hp short.
