I always carry my USB drive on my house keys , that way I will always take it with me when I leave the house.

Check your local pawn shops for items. I'm sure the thieves don't want to be holding onto those items for a long time, maybe they were dumb and took most of it to one pawn shop.

Sorry to hear it sir, that really sucks. I'm not sure if they exist in NZ, but you may want to call around to pawn shops in the nearby area in the chance the thieves try to sell your stuff for cash. Just a thought, you never know.

Did they rob you while you were at work? If they did then chances are they somewhat knew your schedule and knew you weren't home.

If you want paints, cars, museum cards, whatever - FR me and I'll gladly send.

Lame to the max. I would check pawn shops, and any game stores that take second hand merch. Is there a way to tie your PS3 serial number to yourself?
So they stole booze and video games, seems like there is a profile going there. Either it was a tech savvy bum,or one or a few teenagers

Sucks dude! But like you said, you get to start over, and that's fun too :)

Sorry to hear about your theft. I hate thieves. I'm in to help build your car garage as well when you replace the ps3. add B-raube and Mikeonthebike81

Man that sucks. Bet it was kids. Real burglars wouldn't bother with the grog. I wonder if PSN could track the ip address if they ever try to log on with it?

I am positive there is ways to track the ip address because I was playing gt5 one day and somebody told me the state and town I was in. One would need to figure out how to do this and then it would take somebody on your friends list to know the PSN was signed in to be able to track it. It can be done but I don't know how you would go all about it.

Thanks everybody. :)

Pall
Call sony and tell them to track your users names ip, well i believe you have to go to law enforcement and then sony will have to do as they say its in the contract you sign. , whoever pops the sucker in and signs in will get caught, my friend did this and the guy turned out to live 2 houses down XD .
hope you get your stuff back.

My iPhone got stolen a little while back and they couldn't guess the password within 20 tries so it was wiped clean. I'm assuming they got pissed off because they left it on my front porch, right where I had forgotten it 2 days prior.
I got super lucky though because they were idiots.
Sorry to hear what happened to you, hopefully you get it back :)

Came home from work yesterday to find we'd been burgled. Among the (thankfully) few things taken were my TV, laptop and PS3, with almost all my games; they left Dirt 2 (presumably 'cos they have taste) and Deep Space, 'cos they must have heard I'd not played it yet. So of course I have also had my beloved GT5 garage ripped away from me; level 37/39, 500 odd cars, most of the DLC... Thankfully, I'm one of those clever chaps who backed up his game save on a flash drive. Ah, but where is said flash drive?

Still in the PS3...

Aah mate I don't know if to laugh or cry, sorry man.

Let me guess.....You live in Sacremento California

God the irony...sorry to hear about that man. Who would have thought to put your flash drive in safe keeping? I always keep mine plugged into the front of my PS3 because, well, it's convenient you know lol.

Hope you get back some of your stuff, but if you have to get a new PS3 and GT5, I may be able to help you rebuild your car collection my friend.:sly:👍
Yes sorry to hear about that mate. Burglars are scum of the Earth and i too don't mind sending you some cars to help get your collection back up ? chin up mate:)

ey, your ps3 aint working. ive been trying all day. why doesnt the power come on?

your TV works just fine btw..

👍

Dude that sucks. If I can help out with any cars that I have just pm me with a list and I'll see what I've got.

man, at least your DLC is attached to your PSN account so you should be able to get it back. But, seriously, I hate thiefs, they are one of the lowest forms of human beings. I work hard for my money as im sure you do so to have something taken from you is terrible and unjust. I hope they get what they have coming to them, karma is a b@#$h. Well best of luck recovering your stolen goods.

Did you have insurance on the house or renters insurance? Hope so.

Thats a really bad bit of luck mate.

Make sure you contact Sony as I know it sounds strange but hopefully he is using your account on the internet (so if you had CC details on it, cancel the card).

Reason I say this, its been known in the past that stolen PS3's have been tracked by IP addresses.

Hope they catch the git who did this and I hope they rip off his testicles so you can wear them as earrings

I hate low-life thieves...I'm glad you are ok and I admire your upbeat attitude too. Good Luck to you and yours!

Wow! At least nobody was harmed... 🤬 thieves!!!

Best of luck man! :)👍

I will be removing my thumbdrive from my PS3 as soon as I get home and hide it in my sock shelf.

... and that's typically the sort of place pro burglars will search for valuables and cash. In their vicious minds, if you bothered to hide something, then it must be more than it looks.

Waiting on the insurance claim. PSN account details changed. Once again, thanks for the messages of support and offers to help with my garage; hopefully I'll be back on track pretty soon.

The awkward moment when... ;)
--

Man, if I had my PS3 stolen I would be pissed, obviously. I use it to store images on as well as music and of course to play games on. But most importantly, i use it to keep contact with some of my friends.
Hopefully, you'll get your loss covered and get a fresh start with a new console. That's quite nice to do as well, starting from scrath. It's like getting used to a new car's smell the first couple of days :)

Look on websites like craigslist or search around your local thrift shop or best buy. You might find it and be able to buy it back and report their asses to the police.

This will cheer you up. 👍

EDIT: wait it's been months now... :indiff:

Dude, sorry to hear that, glad you're ok
