Decided to re-do some of the license tests that I have come agonizingly close to gold but had to settle for silver.

My settings before were:
MT, All off except ABS 1 and Sensitivity 7
When I turned on Active Steering and kept all other things the same, I went and proceeded to do 8 tests that I had not gotten gold on before.

Results?
6 of the tests (including the IB-3 Cone Slalom) I managed to gold.
1 Test (IC-3 Double Indy Hairpin) I am now one tenth off gold (picking up 2 tenths).
1 test (IB-5 Left-long right Tokyo) I have not yet managed to equal my best (which was .009 off of gold).

Can I safely assume that Active Steering should help me gain my final 12 golds?

You may simply have become a faster player but apparently it can help improve times, often the fastest people in the time trials use it but I can't see the difference between a car with it and a car without it.

Well, I would need to know what Active Steering actually does before I can say that it actually helps improve times or the confidence of turning it on made your laptimes faster.

What I've found is that Active steering keeps the car straight, when you're oversteering, the aid tries to correct it.

Well, I've tried re-running any of the 7 license tests I have failed to gold and I seem to have plateaued on most of them with Active Steering. Still short on them though (Like the dreaded trio of IC-3, IB-5 and IA-1).
