Is fuel weight calculated in Tire wear enabled races online and in endurance races? One of my PSN friends was wondering about this after he finished a 70 lap run on High Speed Ring and ran out of fuel on lap 70...finishing 2nd out of 8. If yes, any tips about fuel management would be greatly appreciated.👍

It's set for the distance traveled, if your back tires are spinning and wearing out then you are using more fuel, I usually use my steering wheel (or you can set your remote in options) so I can turn my traction control on when I lose alot of tire grip. And with that it's easier to calculate when you are going to run out of fuel.. If you use a half of tank in 20 laps of a 50 lap race I then you would want to add 3/4 - 5/8 the the allotted fuel it will let you add to fill up. Does that make sense? Lol.

I understand how fuel is used and that if you gun it you use more... but I want to know if the WEIGHT of the fuel is calculated into your lap times as you race... like F1 in real life. Example: Lap 1 you have a full tank of gas... lap 15 you have a half tank of gas... will the weight lost in burned fuel make the car lighter therefore the laptimes a little bit faster?

Haha i misunderstood your questioning.. All though it doesn't show it I notice my X1 gaining time more and more consistently around Indy on the endurance track when my fuel level became lower.. So a short answer to your question= Yes.

When fuel depletion is enabled it is calculated, but that weight isn't taken into account in PP calculation. It's roughly 75 Kg with a full tank, because in GT5 all cars have 100 liters fuel tanks.

A tip I could share with you is that you can refuel 10 litres on a pitstop without it making the stop any longer, the guy just finishes refueling when the tyres are on, so sometimes it's better to refuel a bit every stop and maybe save a bit on that bigger refueling stop you're going to have later on.

Also depending on the car, your cars balance can be affected by a lighter tank of fuel. The car can become unsettled depending on the course so you have to watch your driving even more.
