I´ve just bought a G25 last week, and it works fine ... no doubt it will still working when GT5 comes... now im waiting for my stand... to begin my intense training ( its not easy play with a wheel, clutch and shifter when you´re used to drive with the ds3 stick )

Probably due to the 900 degree steering. I can imagine 360-540 degree for example would be much easier.

If there is no option to change the steering angle i won't even bother getting a wheel for GT5 (I don't have one currently). I couldn't use 900 degree steering for racing at all, it just wouldn't seem natural.

@Viktor:What stand are you waiting for (prebuilt or selfmade??)

@Seismica: 900° for f1 or wrc and high competition cars isn't realistic. Ok agreed. But GT has 600+ cars in stock or slightly tuned versions where 900° are very realistic cause all "civil" automobile has 900°. Go look in your car.
Plus you will very rarly turn the into the full 900°

It's not like you're forced to use the clutch.

GT5 is one good change for him to learn to drive a proper manual. Automatic transmission just is not right for sport cars.

Its a selfmade, a cheap project that should work fine for me... i have not much money ( G25 in my country costs me a lot of paychecks ). But have great stability and should fit nice in my small apartment ( can be folded ).

And i agree with u about the 900º , thats not a major factor for the hardness. And feels great when drifting...

Ferrari 458 Italia has 720°, just two turns lock to lock. Wich is seriously fast.

What wheel should i get if i want one where i can choose how many degrees i want?

Fanatec GT3RS? or is this something that might be put in the game? Don´t remember if GT4 had it.

I suppose i could cope as long as race cars used the right amount.

But if its 900° for all cars i'm not buying a wheel (But i'll still buy the game). At least not a Logitech wheel anyways, i understand Fanatec wheels could be adjusted for Prologue, just not ingame?

Fanatec turbo S have FFB, steering angle, abs vibration, gas vibration and drift mode adjustmens that you can do while driving in any game.

Have you ever driven with a FFB wheel before in a Simulator?

Clutch? we do not know if they will fix it in FULL game or if it will be GT5 Prologue style.. Myabe save money and buy DF GT wheel

Many reasons, It has a better wheel design and better feedback over G25. As well buttons on the wheel make whole lot more difference. Even holding it is btter.. Unless you wanna go with G27 wheel which is better then the two.

But If I were you, I would start with DFGT wheel.. When I first got started in Sim Racing DFP was my first choice. Also wait untill we have info in the CLUTCH, if its PROLOGUE style, it just gives a lil bit of fun, unless they make progressive clutch. Because most of the times I turn clutch off and just use Sequential, Clutch can really mess you up in online race by miss shifting, and sometimes strugling to get it in gear for couple of seconds.. you can loose fast like that.

Disagree. Clutch dont make you slower than others... if well used, could make you faster. And its a matter of taste anyway... if you like to play it for real.

I did say if you miss shift, of course it makes u faster if you shift well.. I mean to say from misshifing to get it in gear will loose you time.

As far as I remember some race cars in GT4 weren't 900 degrees, so I'd assume and hope this is the same for GT5.

I'd really like a Logitech Profiler in the game, or if we could go to wheel options (assuming clutch is FULLY supported) and set various options such as highlighting a box for options such as making the wheel work the way it would work with that specific car, so the degrees of rotation would depend on the car, as well as if you use the paddles, clutch and paddles, clutch and six speed, level of FFB, etc.. I know I'm probably dreaming though!
