Is GT5 development dead?

I haven't been on GT5 in some time, so I don't know if there are any bugs to be fixed by this maintenance.

Maybe the maintenance has something to do with testing servers for GT6. Maybe...

Consider it to be on life support. The only thing still being cranked out are the seasonals...

PD could at least give us a small update... Turn 10 is working on FM5, optimizing it for the SpyBox, while still giving us frequent updates and monthly events on FM4. Can't PD be a little like Turn 10 when it comes to this sort of stuff?

Not expecting any more DLC's - I'd be surprised if there is any more development.

For me GT5 won't be dead until GT6 arrives in the full release version.

Still love it, but alas, I look at my old GT 1,2,3 & 4 disks;
They are beckoning the GT5 disk to join them in the bottom of the forgotten box.... The countdown begins!

Well there's a new maintanance notice up, so my bet is no.

We're getting weekly events. That will probably continue until the release of GT6.

Yes, I know, but we haven't had an update on GT5 for 2 months now. T10 is maintaining FM4, FH and working on FM5 at the same time. They still get frequent updates, right? All PD is doing is giving us is these small seasonal events which give an extremely large cash prize for a pretty easy race. I'm just saying that PD could do a little more for us. T10 still makes FM4 feel like it's not outdated. In GT5, we can feel now that GT5 is coming to an end... know where I'm getting at?

One: I'm pretty sure T10 is not adding monthly events in Horizon, that'll be Playground Games. Second: FM4 isn't getting any updates other than monthly events. PD is doing weekly events which is much more faster than monthy. Plus PD is also working on GT6 while adding weekly events to GT5, and are updating it this Monday night.

Umm. That will be your opinion saying GT5 is ending. Also, sure in GT5 you earn high amount of cush after finishing an seasonal event or TT and DT, but in FM4 you get cash too by beating others times which are also TT and DT. IMO there the same thing so both aren't outdated.

If they are 100% done with GT5 then they should open up all DLC for the remaining players :)

I think all games should do this for one last hurrah.

I really hope PD does this, but then again we will have all the DLC from GT5 as part of the content that will come with GT6 straight out of the box anyways.

They won't unlock all the DLC for GT5, just so you know - it would be grossly unfair to give people DLC for free when there are people who paid good money to buy the DLC. It would also encourage people to avoid buying DLC for GT6 in the hope that it's made free when GT7 is released, and if the sales for the DLC drop like that then there's a fair chance that PD will just say 'we won't release any more DLC'.
