Im considering of purchasing gt5 because I love cars and racing, I do own a g27 racing wheel and I play some racing sims on the pc. But I dont want a difficult game that I have to try a race 40times to score 1st place. I have prolouge and the licence were way to difficult for me, + the ai were insanely agressive. Is this the case in gt5?

The licenses are similar, in my opinion, but they are not required, and they're not too hard to get bronze.
The game isn't hard either. By the time you get to the more powerful cars and most of the more tricky events, you'll be experienced with the gameplay. And with the hard stuff you're already posting in a great place to find helpful tips that can completely alter your approach in a successful way.

The racing part can be as hard or easy as you like. There is no penalty if you get an overpowering car to run a race. But you can choose a lower powered car in the same race and it will be a challenge. It's up to you. The licenses and special events are a challenge to downright hard but don't have to be done right away.

As one who has license golds in GT2,3,4 and working on 5 all I can say is practice, practice, practice. Eventually you will laugh at how easy some races are that used to be hard...

For the most part the races in GT5 are easy. Much more so than they were in GT4 as they pretty much all allow you to run soft racing tires and not need a pit stop until the endurance races. add to that the fact that you can take in an overpowered car and you have a bunch of easy wins at hand if that is what you like. There are a few races that are hard. Nascar, FGT and the Allstars race. The Driving tests are easy to bronze hard to Gold and the special events vary some are easy to gold and others may be difficult to bronze without a few attempts if your skill level is low.

Overall it is fairly easy.

GT5 is dead easy to pick up for beginners, I think the licenses are all techniques which you will get from racing. As for the races, you just need a bit of racing nouse and the right car and you'll be fine ;)

You have a steering wheel already, so I don't see a reason to NOT get GT5. You should definitely get it and you'll love it.

The licences will help you greatly - they're not compulsory but they do explain a lot of technique.

There'll definitely be a steeper learning curve later in the game but you can race a lot of cars in Arcade mode immediately so you'll pick it up quickly enough :D

Start slow, build your skills up, you should be a competent racer pretty quickly.

Getting good enough to gold everything though, that'll take some practice, but it's well worth it.
