Simple question really.
Is GT5's Dirt/gravel too slick and slippery ? It makes the rally stages almost undriveable, like you're driving on ice. Dirt2 had a great dirt/gravel feel, where as GT5 it's like driving on a sheet of ice, i think you have more grip at Chamonix in the snow than at Toscana or Eiger.

So shouldn't PD update this just a bit ?

I agree that the rally physics and the driving experience are not perfect, but i disagree that they are worse than old GT games.

Rallying in old GT felt about 10x worse than in the current game, the old ones really did feel like you were rallying on ice. GT5 is a massive improvement in the track design and physics, but its still not quite "there".

Play Richard Burns Rally

This game is a real rally sim, unlike the semi arcadey Dirt 2

After playing that game for an hour, come back here and say that GT5's rally is hard.

Gravel seems to have less traction than snow, in my opinion. Could be explained by snow/ice tires having spikes or whatever they modeled them with, but relative to each other, gravel definitely has less traction that it seems it should.
