Is GT7 the reason we are seeing no real DLC for GT6?

Specifically, the fact that GT7 for the PS4 is a pretty large priority for your parent company (Sony) as Gran Turismo is well known to sell the Sony hardware it runs on.

It is logical that GT7 will need new content to make it as attractive as possible, therefore if that content is to be new, it must be withheld from GT6. And if GT7 is indeed being pushed for a short-window release, there just is not time for much of the desired DLC to be developed before release of that title.
Therefore pretty much all DLC-worthy material (cars and tracks) are being held instead for release on GT7 as Day-One content.

(edit: Remember how DLC died for GT5 when GT6 was officially announced with a vague release date?)

So, the only new content we can expect in GT6 are the manufacturer-developed VGT content, which frees PD developers to concentrate on the next title's new content.

Can you comment on this?

Thank you.

that's a good question dmcallis honestly I have no idea I was thinking why we weren't getting any real DLC as well but isn't GT7 still along way to go ? but anything's possible we still could get some DLC just don't exactly know what Polyphony Digital have planned

As much as I'd like an answer to this question, I'd never expect a direct response if the answer was actually yes.
If we can get enough people to vote this question towards the top of the list, we can force the issue of the inference made if they specifically choose to skip it... Wouldn't actually mean anything, but then it really would, wouldn't it?

i.e. point taken, guys.
