I have noticed something odd. The newest Ferrari they had was added around 2011 (the 5 classic Ferrari were modeled by PD at the 2010 Tokyo Concours D'Elegance and have been on PD servers since then.) and literally none of Ferrari's current lineup has been added since.
Also the Ferrari 500 Mondial was retro actively removed (it was also the Ferrari that would have been added last since it was the 2012 Pebble Beach winner. I think PD may have lost their Ferrari license during or after 2012.
This explains why none of Ferrari's current lineup out side of the 458 Italia (modeled in 2009) are in Gran Turismo 6.
That's an awesome idea! PD should get exclusivity with Nissan and Chevy, and barter the rights for Porche! Oh, and Ferrari or whatever. If push comes to shove, PD can just make the Nissan license exclusive to them.
In all seriousness i don't think it's exclusive.
Exactly, there just aren't that many 2012+ cars in the game from any manufacturers.
Then what's the explanation for almost every other manufacturer's current line up missing from the game?
Microsoft does not hold the license for Ferrari on Xbox nor PC anymore. In February 2010, EA released Ferraris on the NFS: Shift game exclusively for Xbox. Correct me if this was a deal between EA and Microsoft, but if not, that is proof the Microsoft/T10 license expired.
Driveclub has Ferraris with the 599XX confirmed for their game. It is just Polyphony who is playing games with their cars licenses. It wouldn't surprised me if they randomly elected to drop the Ferrari license.
