Is it to late to save AOL?

Who in their right mind would want to save AOL? Ugh, I'd be ashamed to work for them... such crummy service. We pay $100 a year for our dial-up service, I use Chimera Navigator as my browser (tabbed browsing... yummy), and there ya go. No sense in paying twice as much for an inferior product.
 
Bless the lord if it goes down. For my moms sake, i hope it doesnt, but for the sake of everybody else, down aol, down!

My moms very internet-iliterate... AOL makes it easy on her.. somehow... :odd:
 
Probably not true...they have a middle-aged over wieght guy in a butterfly suit as thier mascot trying to make the internet safer.
I'm I the only one that sees something wrong with that picture?

I do see something wrong with it; I even told my dad to stop doing it. He just doesn't listen.
 
A pretty hefty chunk of AOL users are internet-illiterate. AOL does everything for them. I hate AOL. I admit, I use AIM. But if AOL went under and AIM went with it, I'd would quite using it. and I'd you MSN messenger and be happy.
 
I hate AOL and hope it dies and burns in metaphorical hell. By they way, AIM is made by the Netscape netowrk and will probably just get a new name and new look if AOL goes under like it should.

AIM is just as bloated as AOL for what it does. Who wants all those advertisements and crap?

Trillian just blows it away and it can connect to MSN, ICQ, and Yahoo! Plus it's skinnable.

Actually, AIM is written by AOL, and Netscape is owned by AOL also. Netscape got swallowed by AOL just before the merger with Time Warner by a few months to a year. Before that, Netscape was a stand-alone browser just like Internet Explorer.
 
Oh and whoever said that they hate all of the ads, there is a way to fix this and if you want to know i could let you know later at about 7:00 because I am not on my other computer to look it up cuz its on there.
 
I hope AOL goes because then there is one less browser web designers have to make there websites compatible with.
 
i don't think AOL will go under because it looks and is very easy....if only it weren't so RAM sucking maybe i'd care a little, but i hate it.....i have it but i don't want it, i'm trying to get my parents to get Earthlink or MSN, but i really want BroudBand...anyways, i hate AOL, but i don't want it to die
