Is it worth it to update my PS5 slim to a PS5 Pro for GT7?

I have a PS5 slim that I bought about 2 years ago just for GT7, along with a PSVR2 headset and have it connected to my 4K tv and G27 wheel and absolutely love the experience. I thought to myself wow, how much better can this be. Now that sony has released a PS5 Pro with improved hardware, and GT7 updated taken advantage of it. I wonder if it's worth it to update? I'm on the fence about this. Since the only game I mainly play on the PS5 is Gran Turismo 7.

I was thinking of getting the new PS5 Pro, and then removing the DISC addon from my PS5 slim to use on the new PS5 Pro, and then sell my PS5 slim as a digital version. Would that work too, if I decide to go with that route?

Don't bother (IMHO)

If you are moving from PS4/PS4 Pro to PS5, then yes that is worth it because load times are faster and you get all the cool Sophy stuff.

PS5 to PS5 Pro (I have the Pro) is not worth it IMHO. Personally, I don't like the way the ray tracing looks so I have my game set to optimize for frame rate. My TV is not 8k either. That said, I absolutely see the graphical advantage for other games, but for GT7 specifically, I don't think it's worth spending the money.

There are pretty noticeable improvements in VR with the Pro (albeit with some visual glitches), but for flat screen it's not worth it IMO.

If you value image quality and advanced ray tracing at a potential 60fps in your games, then yes, IMHO, it is worth the high price tag and essentially serves as a prologue to the PS6. If you don't, though, then no, stick with the base PS5.
My TV is not 8k either.
Other than one or two games (GT7 is one), 8K is absolutely not the focus of the Pro. Refining 4K with PSSR is.

No! Don't do it, they downgraded the ps5 pro version graphics with redundant PSSR super resolution that reduced fidelity and included squiggly microscopic worm-like particles moving on the interior and exterior of cars; destroying tbe beautiful image. The company have been informed of this graphical issue and have done absolutely nothing about it.

Well, you can disable PSSR if it bothers you. But then at that point the difference to a PS5 is smaller, so it makes it less of a big jump to upgrade.

Yep, because i went and brought an Oled for the ps5 pro, and i sadly find many other third party games (non Sony) implemented PSSR better than Gran turismo 7. Also when turning pssr off, i see graphics downgrade on cars when viewing in the garage and some tracks compared to what I remembering on the ps5 slim. jagged edges and soft dated looking graphics on the body of car and interior. kinda look like ps2 graphics in my honest opinion because I don't remember seeing that many jaggie's even in gt6
