Is online already active?

[STA1N]

Are people already playing GT5 online? I think it would be highly unfair that this would be happening before the release date!

And also people playing offline and getting ahead with licenses.

I believe it has been stated that the online will not come into effect until a release day patch on Wednesday although by which time zone is anyone's guess.

Hope that helps !

GT5 goes online on the 24th. So 21 hours apparently.

I have heard nothing concrete about a patch on the first day.

thanks guys!

My game just arrived and you can't get online yet.

No need to be upset about other people been able to do licenses etc., though. You will enjoy your game just as much.

Check the main discussion thread. Someone said a patch was just release that unlocks online and ask people if they rather do the optional install or not

There is a patch (1.01 : 133MB) that is activating online functionnality (Community and Museum)

EDIT : I'll try it in a few minutes.
I'll edit again, or reply, to tell you what's on

EDIT 2 : Ok, Online is ... ON !
It looks like A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !
But, I have to sleep a bit now ^^

Is this by region, or worldwide?

[TheTekator]

You have the choice, on the side, for what region you want the player to be.
So, I expect worldwide multiplayer

Look at this image posted on another topic : http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/1960/img0228cx.jpg

At left, there's filters :
- Track
- Skid recovery
- Region

I don't understand your post. How does someone playing offline affect your game at home? Even online, if people have the game early why can't they play?
Does it bother you so much that people got the game before you?
What exactly isn't fair?
