Last Night I meet a Driver called Offline(--) so no country and the name, it must be some one from PD, it was on Fuji in the F1, and yes i beated him, with bout 5 sec's..

Anyways just a fun thing in my late night session ( DK) not for OFFLINE(--) i guess that was in morning..

Dream Extreme

And see you next time OFFLINE(--) ;)

No it means they there connection wasnt that good.

Are you sure? Then this "no country thing" should appear more often, I guess ...

besides, I don't think that is the case because I also met him last night, on a 1-to-1 race at Suzuka, and he was the host (that means he had the best connection of us two, isn't it?)

He was driving a black Audi R8. I won, but I don't even think he was trying to win, because he really went slow, right from the start. I even thought he was going to quit and end the race for us both, but he didn't.

💡 Maybe we can select "other" in nationalities? 💡

If we can't, this is really strange.

None of you have been involved in an online game and been signed out of the PSN, yet were able to continue playing online? I believe that's what is happening here, but I've seen other games handle this differently.

F1:CE, for instance: You're in an actual room with others. I'd imagine that, upon joining the room, your PSN ID is sent. You stay in the room for a while and then it happens, perhaps even while you are racing. A message appears stating that you've been signed out of the PSN, but everything else remains normal -- you're even still racing. In F1:CE, you'll know this has happened as your chat abilities will be taken away until you log back in to PSN.

In GT5:P, I'd imagine your PSN ID is sent to the 'room' with each race you enter (even if you don't leave the Suzuka 600PP lobby, for instance). One race you will be fine, then after the message, you should appear as "OFFLINE [--]" until you sign in once again.

Don't know that but one time I was also an Off-line.

Not my normal name on the grid list but off-line highlighted in yellow.

And I don't work for PD,

However, looks like a nice job though,on-line racing tester :sly:

No, it happens because of network problems with the PSN. It has happened to me and others on this forum. In other words, I have been called OFFLNE (--) at least once.
Someone needs to sticky this thread or close it, its been asked before and it keeps being asked every week.

In my search for the name, it didn't come up with anything, so that's why i made the thread hehe, But Good to know then, and sorry for taking up space on this amazing forum. :) But to be offline(--) and still be able too Act online, is a very strange thing isn't it..

But i do see the possiblilty of how this can happen, so no worries, But also I do find the idea of PD is called that, and also sometimes to show up in some race, is a awesome whish, because they do go online and race, ofcourse they do..:)

Imagine to know the name of the Big Master, would we behave differently or just as we normal do, try to win with a good speedy high action chase, and of course with the right attude.. I know i would the last..;)

Please close this thread, I didn't know that i was digging in old stuff...hehe
