Since the addition of the New Brz Pandem\ Rocket Bunny Drift car, do you think GT will add Wide body kits? Personally I think it would be cool other + the fact we have Regular PD body kits. So we have more personalisation. The fact we also had Additional gauges in GT6 is cool as well I'll like to see that return with the addtion of body kits :)

If they add kits of any kind I highly doubt they will be branded (This isnt NFS! ;)). They may add the ability to add aero kits at some point to GTS but it'll just be like previous GT's.

So then how do Forza have them?

And besides theirs an Option for it in the next GT game.

Not really. Gts already have gr3 variants of cars with bodykits. Roads cars arent usually modiifed cosmetically in previous gt games.

Yes they were.

Yes they were.
Didnt say all werent. Most wasnt when there were over 1000 cars. Wouldnt give them all the option of bodykits.

I know you didn't, that was extremely obvious. However, road cars, specifically, were the only ones that were able to be modified, so that was a bit misleading. You couldn't modify the majority of the vehicles in prior-GT's because you cant modify standard cars in the same way as you do the Premiums, as those are modeled as one single model compared to the premiums.

Fair point. Yes they did in gt5 making cars into racers.

If we are going to be getting some rice with our next GT game please make them functional. I’d rather them add some aero kits that actually improve on-track performance than something that looks like the designers of Fast and Furious threw up all over them.

Since when have they ever added a kit that improved the vehicles aerodynamically in previous GT's, anyways? All modifications outside of RaceMods had no impact on performance, so why would this be an issue? Wider vehicle-track can very well improve performance, if PD decide to implement it in such a way.

Yeah but we going lose to Toyota tho, PD need to talk Toyota again for the license if we going add body kit for the game. But if we going body kit. I want just rather they let us created own Gr4 car and street car. I don't want them mess with Group 3 or group 2 or group 1 car. I like keep more authentic

Their not cancer everyone has different tastes in cars
Let anyone personalise their car either take it or leave it.

We had rear wings starting in GT4, I'm not sure if those were cosmetic, but they allowed you to change the rear downforce on road cars in the tuning options. Flat floors in GT6 also improved grip at high speeds and raised the PP level of the cars you applied them to.

Yeah, but you're not talking about wings or spoilers, you mentioned the body kits specifically. Who's to say that a rear wing's still wouldn't implement downforce?

And Fiat Floors? What exactly was that?

You simultaneously said 'to each their own' and forced your opinion on someone in the same sentence. That's impressive.

Once again, his opinion is that they are ricer. My personal opinion is the same.

Either way, I don't want them in GT unless they are part of a racing modification system that turns the road cars in to Gr.4/ Gr.3 or maybe some kind of Gr.5 for converted cars or something. I don't want to mod for cosmetics, as said this isn't Forza or NFS, I want to improve the cars in a more 'GT' kinda way, personally.

Agreed! Gran Turismo is about motorsport and all modifications should have this in mind. Rear wings, front splitters and flat floors are all we really need!

What's truely impressive is being able to read into something that wasn't there in the first place. Both those statements the person made flow in the same vein - "Everyone has different taste" and "Let everyone personalize their cars" basically meaning that if you don't want to you don't have to, which actually makes perfect sense. You don't want it? Fine, but at least give an option for those that do, there's nothing wrong with that.

Cool, that means what though?

They can very well make it impact performance for adding kits like this in game, very much like Forza does. I'm not sure why you're only thinking on a cosmetic application when they can very much make them functional in the game to a degree, as it's all in how they implement it.

However, you touched up on a nice idea actually. Bring Racing Mods back and let you transform normal road cars like the GT86, adding in some real world kits and upping them into a different class. That would definitely add something I'd like to the game.

You're right, and no one said otherwise.

It was the "They're not cancer" part which was forcing your opinion on somone, followed by "let them customise how they want" - a juxtaposition in one sentence. I was congratulating you.

That means I've added my opinion to the discussion. You're welcome. It also highlighted how you decide he isn't allowed an opinion on whether they are ricer or not. But as you say, let everyone customise how they want, right?

You are once again arguing against my opinion. It is my opinion that Rocketbunny kits are not designed with performance in mind, and are designed for cosmetic purposes. If they formed a part of a racing modification system, happy days, but as a standalone part, not for me thanks.

This happens more often than people give me credit, yourself included, but thanks. I do think RM returning to GT would be a great idea. Either that, or PD should spend a bit of time converting the latest batches of DLCs in to Gr.4 or Gr.3 cars.

In my opinion.

im not an entirely huge fan of the rocket bunny/liberty walk/ put over fenders on everything style. (i do like some just not all)

BUT, if people complain about their functionality on track then we should all be complaining about sambabus, model t/a, and other cars that really have "no place" on the tack.

anyway if they added it, id welcome it. whethe you are a fan or not they are pretty "iconic" or at the very least very popular and polarizing in the modern automotive scene.

I doubt they would make it in GT but you never know. Besides, tons of livery out there and people making decals to give that over fender style look.

A fair point, but with racing leagues like the old Citroen 2CV championship (and the newer Citroen C1 series) you could argue that the slower cars do have their place.

Things like the moon buggy, fully agree that was pointless.

So insisting that their opinion of them is that they're not actually cancer, in retort to someones reply, is forcing an opinion? Yeah, no.

It's just an odd way to go around it. We knew what his opinion was, so reinstating it was for what reason other than to try to diminish his opinion. Seems again you're reading into things that aren't there, whatsoever - I've decided that he isn't allowed an opinion? I've done nothing of the sort. Lets look at it this way, how would it be detrimental for you if this was adding in? If it's little to none, other than something purely visual, than surely it's not that big of a problem to have an option?

Yeah, oh you mean like a discussion? Weird, I always thought that's how discussions work. To point it out is a bit redundant, no?

It'll add more vehicles into the game as well. Not a complete individual car, but with just enough to differentiate itself from the base model. Much like the higher tiered cars in the game. They can make multiple takes on modification, yet put them in the same class to offer some individualism at least. I don't mind a low car count, but I really do enjoy customization.

The only way, really and truly, these Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk bodykits are going to be put into any GT is because of the same reason why the drift BRZ RB was put in: they were used in motorsports. If the Super GT or Le Mans GT3 cars all started using these kits, then you won't have to cross your fingers anymore . I would love more bodykits (still waiting for that Supra '95 JGTC bodykit to return ) because IMO I feel it adds more cosmetic style and interest to the game, even if it is just variations of the same car, but considering GT is all about motorsports & racing, there's very little chance unless the series delves into another pathway,

If i'm right, the fact there is no wide bodies in GTS is one of the main reason why it is one of the only racing game with Toyota cars.

Plus, i'm kinda scared it goes the same way as with Forza: For the first few weeks everyone was like ''OMGGG WE CAN PUT WIDEBODY KITS NOW? HOLY JEEBUS!'' and then everyone kinda grew out of them pretty quick. Like at first i thought ''Cool, now i can put a RB kit on my BRZ.'', then a few weeks later i was like ''Meh.'' It just fades out so fast i don't think it would be a great idea to have them. But if they put them on separate cars like the drift BRZ from the last update... then i'm not completely against that way.

It's a good guess, unfortunately we just have no idea at this point.

So in the end it turned into what every other form of customization was? I'm not really seeing how that's a bad thing.

IMO these two words should not be used in the same sentence unless there is an isn't between them! Drifting for me is more a showcase like monster trucks! Don't get me wrong, what these guys do looks amazing and takes a boat load of skill but for me it's not a motorsport.

Im not a fan of drifting either but its definitely a form of motorsport, just like drag racing.
