How can you make a fair assestment of a game system that doesnt exist to the public yet makes no sense all we have is rumors upon rumors nothing concrete

I am ready for a new console. I love everything cutting edge. I'll take a wild stab at the initial release price. $599.99.

The should only make the PS4 if the're going to improve the capabilties of the system (get rid of lag).

How about allow the system to play games from each Playstation... Too much to ask?

I don't think they'll make that mistake again. $450-$500 sounds more likely to me.

More features=more cost. Plus then how will people buy the games over again on the PSN? I'd bet they make a ton of money off ps1 and now ps2 sales on the PSN.

I think PS3 is enough, what else could they possibly add to the PS4. Since the PS3 we've already had access to online store and the ability to play online. IMO PS4 is just another chance to empty peoples pockets. Sorry if you think this is stupid.

PS3, 360 was only the beginning.

PS4 could have.... (Note i will some example Based on somethings for GT6 or other racing Games)

- CVC
- far better graphics
- more Cars on track in High quality (64 Cars are possible on Computer)
- better physics
- New technique
- New Gameplay Elements
- USB3.0
- 1080p Gaming with 4k Support for OS, Arcade Games, Movie , picture
- Full 3D (PS3 Used a sub 3D)
- New WLAN Standard
- better Blu Ray or New disc Tech
- better OS
- more OS function
- better AI
- more objects on Screen
- ...

And so much more.

There is much much much Space to improve everything.

I am not interrested in another console AT ALL. After going through multiple 360s and now on my 2nd PS3. This gen of consoles is just so unreliable. Plus I am blacklogged on a ton of PS3 and 360 games. So between being backlogged and how unreliable these consoles are, I dont care at all about the PS4 or xbox720.

PS3:
3.2 GHz CPU
256 MB DRAM @ 400 MHz
550 MHz GPU 256 MB GDDR3 @ 700 MHz

Typical Gaming PC:
Dual, Quad, 6, or 8 core processors typically OCed between 4-5 GHz per core
Typically 8-16 GB DDR3 @ 1600-1866 MHz
1000+ MHz GPU 3 GB GDDR5 @ 1425 MHz (AMD 7970)

- Ability to Crossfire / SLI (Chaining multiple GPU's for increased performance)
- Ability to upgrade at anytime
- Ability to overclock for increased performance
- Ability to modify various games
- Ability to use Eyefinity (multiple monitors WITHOUT requiring the use of multiple consoles AND multiple games)
- Immediate compatibility with 4K monitors / TV's
- Track IR
- The list would go on forever....

If you really don't think your PS3 needs to be upgraded then punch yourself it the face and come back to reality.

How many complaints are there in these forums about ****** FPS due to weather, night, and 3D mode.

How many complaints are there in these forums about an "incomplete" GT5.

If this game were on PC neither of these mentions would be issues.

Long story short... my 360 and PS3 are being sold at the end of this week to pay for my second 7970. I most certainly am not paying for another console that will be out-dated before it is even launched.

Can't see PS4 or next box being much more powerful than there predecessors TBH.

Epic Said the UE4.0 runs already on a next Gen console. Epic is known as One if the first Xbox 360 DevKits owner and had a Big influence on it.

The UE3.9 Demo used 10 Times the power of the ps3,360.

There will be a huge differentes. Ok the Xbox will have a huge different.... We dont know PS4 yet.

I believe PS4 and the next Xbox will be on the Same lvl.

Brilliant point. Don't forget triple core (AMD 720 Black represent!)

More RAM please, like 4GB. Then we could cross chat like on the 360 and hopefully load times in GT5 (6?) will be reduced a little. Plus give the developers more room to breathe  Other than that, becoming my Tivo/DVR replacement would be great. Oh, and while they are at it, let me buy my TV channels via my internet connection. Then it'd be worth the money they are going to charge.
