Is the CLK-LM Race Car really in the game?

Obviously I know that it is I've raced against it a few times but I have NEVER seen one in the UCD and I've literaly cycled through it hundreds of times. :grumpy: Has anybody ever seen one in their UCD? If so, how much did it cost?
 
I've never seen it in the UCD (and I think I've seen nearly everything at least once now) and had to get mine through the AMG Driving Academy.
 
Yes it is. Appear in my UCD at least 3 times, don't remember price...

That's what I thought it was called too but apparently with update 1.06 they changed the name from CLK-GTR to CLK-LM. But thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out for it but if my patience runs out I'll just have to try and gold the AMG Driving Academy. Thanks for the help everyone! :cool:
 
I've seen it in the UCD at least a half dozen times, if not more. I only had the money for it once though....

It was mistakenly called the CLK-GTR in GT4, GT PSP and, as MrBiggieD mentioned, previously in GT5. There are some subtle visual differences between both the CLK-GTR and CLK-LM which evolved from the former, most obviously the lower nose and cooling intakes beside the windshield on the latter.
 
you will find the UCD is controlled by a mind reading routine which will ensure that a) the car you want wont show up while you have money b) it will show up(or even two at once) as soon as you DONT have enough money
FWIW, the CLK is a fun a car at 825+ hp

Edit: I am at over 2000 in game days, and I've only seen this car once, today. It costs 3.5mil, I only had 3mil. :(

You win it in AMG Driving Academy Intermediate (Gold prize).
And in UCD is costs 3.5mil.
Bought it and won it, amazing car.
 
seen it in the UCD for about 3 times now, never got the chance to pull the trigger as my sights is on the Formula GT....
 
I have one.. LOVE IT!! Handles so good!! And has some where in the mid to high 8hundreds tuned
 
It's worth the credits and yeah it shows up in the UCD. It shows up all the time in mine. Maybe I'm just lucky :p. Also I think you get the CLK-LM for golding all the intermediate challenges in the AMG driving school in the special events.
 
Flipping shame the Mercedes-Benz CLR isn't in the game because it seems like all the other '99 LMP's (or whatever they called it that year) cars are in the game with the exception of the R8R and the R8C and the front engined Panoz LMP1....

Jeez what a year for LMP cars!
 
The CLK GTR (not the CLK LM) is available (it is a great car, but a little harder to drive than some).

Note, it is fairly different to the CLK LM car (the LM is ALOT better lookimg IMHO).

The CLK GTR was the older version, and used in the FIA shorter circuit races. It got 'updated' to the CLK LM which was build for the sole purpose of Le Mans 25hr racing somewhere in the late 90's before the project was closed off. Not sure how different they are mechanically though, but the aero differences are obvious (above).

An endurance race would have gotten you enough money without reseting the UCD. It is a very rare car and I've only seen it 2 or 3 times in my UCD. I got it from a 1998 ticket after who knows how many hours of trying. It's very good, performs like the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98. It's a shame these two only have 70/50 downforce and not 85/60 like other high powered LMP cars, so these two corner a bit slower.

It wasn't supposed to be funny. But a car doing backflips through the air is certainly spectacular.

It's been in the UCD. I bought it once (didn't even have enough money at the time and sold off some Ferrari's to buy it.....and after all that I don't even like it much).

That car is not in the game, that one is the CLR-GT1
The one in the game is the CLK-GTR and did not have any crashes, won the FIA GT championship that year

The one in the game is the CLK-LM.
 
I have one in my UCD right now but i already own it. So i will let it slide by while i wait for my Bentley Speed 8 and Jaguar XJR-9 which just will not show up no matter how often i cycle my bloody UCD! Grrrrr.

I'm quite aware of this. I was replying to somebody who was saying that unfortunately the Mercedes CLR isn't in the game and I was agreeing.

Read the whole post before calling somebody out.
