Is the Lounge a better place to practice than practice mode??

Grip online and offline are different so depends what you're practicing for really I would say. Or if you're going for the fastest time you can possibly set, that'll be quicker in practice mode than in lobby.

I hate only being able to access your favorites.
So you have to exit the whole section, go to your garage, remove one of your favorites, add the car you want to use, then connect back to online.
All that just to be able to access 9 out of 10 cars!
How in the world did they ever think we would only want to access 10% of our cars?! Stupid.

Seriously? You're going to tune more than 100 cars in any given trip to the lounge? Further than that, there are more than 100 cars you'll actually drive in this game with any consistency? What, you need to tune all 89 versions of the R34?

I use the lounge whenever I want to drive around a circuit with a certain time/weather.

It's annoying that we can't do that in practice mode:tdown:

I just spoke with your Dad. He says "you're grounded and no more GT5 for you, you ungrateful, spoiled, little snot-nosed punk."

LoL :)

WTF PD? Yet another clear indication that this game is half baked.

Seriously? You're defending this? Another indefensible game design element. There is absolutely NO reason why we shouldn't be able to access our entire garage online. Not only that but the method they have now is completely wacked. Seems like some of your cars just "fall off" the list even though you KNOW you selected it before.

Also on time/weather tracks you can select the weather (Fixed or Variable)
Time of day is also better here, you can set the time of day to whatever time you want and the rate of time change. Useful for doing a quick dusk-into-night race, for example.

So true. This is a big bonus for online usage of testing. Besides , you have to decide where you're going to be doing most of your racing, or where you're planning to have the most fun racing. If online is for you then do your practicing in the lounge. If offline is your only domain then never touch the psychedelic coffee.

Until public lobbies will retain lap times, I'll use practice mode. No point in practicing if you can't tell if you're getting better across sessions.
