From the other thread.
PD is placing too many cars focused on the highest-paying Seasonal race in the latest couple of updates. It's original purpose was make the rarer UCD cars available for people to easily obtain.

But half the OCD are Corvettes? Apart from the fact that 2 are purchaseable in the Premium lot, we need 6 more. I want actual variation in the rare cars.

Edit: Added the actual description scrolled when in the OCD. Never mentions anything about the Seasonals.

I dont mind this time
I can finally buy the bentley, ive been after that a long time

I like the fact that there is a "theme", its cool to be able to fill in the gaps of a certain type of car or racing series.

I think the main purpose of the OCD is to offer cars to be used for the seasonal events. For good measure, they may throw in a couple of hard-to-find racecars, which works for me. It would be a bit too easy to collect cars if it they offered 10+ race cars every week.

The bulk of the the DTM cars lineup last week was pretty sweet already :)

It would be dumb that you put up events and people can not participate since they do not find the car.

OK you could do less models, but this way you can test them in the same race next to each other.

If you read the pop-up that shows up the first time you open the OCD it says that it's for rare cars and seasonal events.

This week there are 5 "rare" cars, the usual FGT and 6 corvettes, some of which I hadn't seen before at all. I don't see a problem. It gives you a little more incentive to try something other than a ZR1 RM to do the event.

I won that one as driving however far , some ticket like that

It appears so. I have noticed that the dealer will offer like 6-7 cars that are needed for seasonal events, as in this case the vettes. Then it will offer 2-3 crazy cars that everyone wants and are rare. Such as the Sauber in todays dealer. Then you are left with some bogus cars that you dont want, or always apear in the UCD. A few cars i noticed i just had in my UCD and passed them up. And last but not least, always left with a FGT. There is you OCD. But im not complaining so much. Im just stating an observation.

That is the point of the dealership, give you a choice of cars you need for current events. The first OCD contained rare cars that people needed to complete A-Spec events. People had to cycle the UCD to get lucky with a truck or FGT so PD made it easy for them.
Your poll is rather biased, don't you think? You DON'T KNOW how it was "meant to be" and you don't know that people want several version of the same car. It just seems you're butthurt about the whole thing more than anything and just venting.

OP does not understand the point of the OCD.

OCD and UCD? What is that? And is it ok to define terms like these occasionally?

Wait, I think one is used car dealership...? So the other one is online?

If I'm right, just reply with WYSIWYG ok?

DTM? Dealership T?? M??

OMFG...

No.

It's simple enough to cycle the Used Car Dealership.
The Online Car Dealership appears to help out those who want to complete the seasonal events before they expire without cycling and relying on luck.
The current configuration allows for that. Required cars for seasonal events have either been premium (always available) or standard and available in the OCD.

no, I thought the piont of the OCD was for seasonals and events like sport truck and formula GT

Essentially what has happened here is that the four cars I've been trying to get for ages and have finally got hold of, have been released in the OCD. The Pace Car, Speed 12, Bentley Speed 8, Sauber Merc.

So I take it OP is just upset about the Corvettes and the DTM cars from last time?
Seasonal events are only open for 2 weeks, so if those cars weren't in the OCD people would be constantly whining that they couldn't get a hold of the cars and thus the seasonal events weren't possible.

And those cars only account for half of the cars in the OCD. The point of the OCD was to get the "rare" standard cars that you wanted/needed. FGT: you need. Truck: you need.
Last week you needed a dtm car for the seasonal events, this week you needed a corvette. Although it was much funnier not spending a dime and winning with my SR1 RM.

I'm delighted with it - got my c9! And no, it is not too focused on seasonals. The whole point is you can use xyz car, and it's only around for 2 weeks. If you want to use a particular car for it then you should be able to, and it gives a fair selection along with a few nice cars

When I first saw the Stratos' price I was confused as to how it costs around 100k Cr less than the one in the UCD. Then I realised that is has around 70k extra miles on the clock; does the extra mileagea really justify a 100k drop in price? :odd:

Online Car Dealer

Used Car Dealer

Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (aka german touring cars)

Considering it refreshes every week with new cars.. it's not a problem. IIRC it has had 11 fresh used cars each time. That's 66 cars you otherwise would have had to cycle over and over for, not forgetting the previously difficult to find FGT that is required for an event.

Also, the total value of all the vehicles in the OCD is more then most of us can grind out in one week anyway. The idea of "6 of the same" means we get a choice and are not pressured to find a way to buy everything. If it was full of desirable cars then just like the UCD we would have to look, not touch, and wave to a car we want as it cycles out at the end of the week because we spent our money on that other car we desired.

Is that what you think or is that what PD said? I thought the OCD is for people to purchase cars required for seasonal events and a few rare cars.

I bought 4 corvettes from the OCD. Just because you don't want it, doesn't mean nobody does.

Somewhere, not sure if from PD or not, it was announced that the OCD would hold a collection of the harder to find used cars.

I do believe it's excessive. PD could choose 3 of the rarest Corvettes (or JGTC cars and the like) and put those, to have room for more variation of rare cars.

I added the OCD's description to the OP.

PD said they will put out the hard to find cars for people who needs them to pass GT Life. Reason why F-150 has returned.

I assume different people have different preference when it comes to Corvettes this week, DTM last week, Super GT the week before.

Whatever, super stoked that I can now get the Mercedes, Bentley, and a non-bright red FGT. Woooooooooooooooo

They could be doing a lot more creative things with it than that. How about making new original cars to debut in the OCD occasionally? Or maybe working with the community on here? Something like "highest rated tune of the week/month/whatever" gets offered as a special edition with a unique name/paint job/decals etc.

Are you aware of how many "communities" out there? PD is always working on something, it just may or may not be what you wish for. Are we talking about wish list now? There's another thread for that.

Oh well thanks for correcting me. I'll be sure to avoid voicing my opinion around you from now on.

V1.05, Seasonal Events 1-6, up coming V1.06, and up coming GT Club in 2 months after launch not go enough for you? Or do you prefer EA NFS style? pay DLC cars with launch? Or Code Master F1 2010 style? Buggy V1.01 patch and give up to work on 2011?

So the OCD, more or less, in this update did what it said it would. The L46 350 C3, the C1, and either the GS or the ZR-1 C4s haven't been through my UCD very often. Niether has the Sauber or the Bentley. Just because I have no use for the Lancia or the TVR, doesn't mean that someone else hasn't been looking for those for a while now.

Last week, it was how I finally found the TT-R, which I had been looking for since I started playing.

Granted, I am not sure why they put cars available from the dealer in the OCD, but it is what it is.

What cars have they put in the OCD that is available from the non-used dealer? They're all standard model cars, most related to the seasonal events. The addition of the ones not related to them are nice, means they're easier to come by and also puts in some different colour combinations since the UCD is stupid and only has one colour for each model.
