My monitor here is set on ultra bright so I noticed right away. Thanks for posting a video for reference.

I used to drive a Scirocco. All this does is make me want one more. I really, REALLY wish we had the new ones in the U.S. dammit!

I haven't driven the Scirocco yet. I don't like FF and don't spend much time driving them.

The Golf is an amazing drive. It's looks are meh in my opinion. Too generic. The Scirocco looks better.

Im working on doing a little back-to-back testing with the DLC Scirocco and Golf. The Scirocco is 2 seconds a lap quicker than the Golf 6 and the Golf 6 is around half-a-second quicker than the Golf IV R32 at Spa-Francorchamps. Each car was given an oil change and completely stock and run for 5 laps each. The Golf IV felt the most tossable and allow you to push it. With the Golf 6 and the Scirocco, you have to be smooth and the gearing is a bit short, but actually helps. I am currently comparing the Audi TTS, the Scirocco, and Z4 M Coupe at the Nurburgring. Even with a little moment, the Scirocco was half-a-second quicker than the TTS. It really is probably the best car of the DLC pack.

i still haven't bought the DLC.i know its only £4 but im getting a few new games. once i get bored of them i will definitely be buying this car pack only really interested in the scirocco though.

Easily one of the best handling FF cars in the game. Looks gorgeous too.

I thought the Scirocco was pretty awful, driven plenty of better front wheel drive cars. I just use my Scirocco as a static car now.

I hate VW usa for not selling this car in America.

Of all the VWs I can stomach to buy, it would have been this one.

at 505pp, I am having 5x more fun , performance, with the new Scirocco than with the new Golf.

The Golf at full engine AND Weight 1 reduction, feels very very sluggish, typical 4WD with no character, I actually despise it now that I wrote about it.

HuskyGT
Now lets add these two to GT6...

... and the cycle will be completed. I know I missed the mk2 Scirocco, but I find the first one to be sexier.

+1 but in GT5 please ;) and preference to the VW Corrado VR6. I used to own one and it had absolutely incredible turn in, especially considering it was FF.

The Scirocco is great!! Topped out at 168mph stock on La Sarthe compared to the 158mph I managed in the Golf (With a sports filter to bring it (the Golf) up to around the euro models power output!). Handling is good for a powerful Fwd and the 'Diff' really helps it out of low and medium speed bends. My only small complaint is the gearing, the first 3 gears are too short especially in a car that is pretty powerful and flexible. :)

I completely Agree. i love how the new vw's in game in interior view show a working mpg screen in between the gauges.
MY ACTUAL Driveway.
silver 93' corrado vr6 and 11' shadow blue gti

but the corrado would have to be able to lift a back wheel on hard cornering. lots of video's of it happening on youtube. love this car for autocross. i actually own the ONLY corrado VR6 in the ENTIRE state of North Dakota

according to VW usa we are supposed to get the Next Gen Scirocco in the usa. lets just hope they dub it a corrado and i'll have two. and i hope they base it on the audi coupe quattro concept

and just for fun, this is how small the corrado actually is

No, that's how big those bloody trucks are.

Loving both my new Volkswagens, can't really decide which I like best, the Scirocco obviously is the more lively one but I also do love the way the Golf R drives, it's so well balanced with a proper set up.
And it's an understated Q-car in the way it looks, especially being a 5-door.
And the modelling of the interiors of both is so well executed and detailed, they look gorgeous.

I've got a tune that I'm still working on running Sport Softs. I've got her roughly at 467pp (I like conservatively tuning cars in GT). Last night, I got a 7:39.726 out of her on the 'Ring, and that was just my 4th lap of tuning (I JUST downloaded the car last night)!!! Heck, I hadn't even installed an LSD yet TO tune out some wheel spin issues in corners!!! This car is SCAREY quick!!!

I typically don't even drive FFs in GT, but wow .... this car made my favorite list.

EDIT: I had to update my time and pp. I was at work when I posted this.

It's OK, I would not say it's amazing LOL. I will say I probably would not have driven it but for seeing this thread, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not bad for a FWD.

I've fully tuned my MkVI Golf to make it a racer. It handles brilliantly and is quite fun to drive. It's a good car stock too. The Scirocco I haven't had a proper drive in yet, but I did find that once it started to understeer it was hard to regain control.

Actually, i tried it yesterday in stock, amd wasn't too thrilled about it, i wasn't amazed or anything, it seems very boring. Wheni fully tuned it, it felt worse, it needs alot of tweaking whens its maxed. The 86 GT in my opinion is similar, but atleast you can still have some fun when its max tuned.

Stock the Scirocco is better than the R. Sports tuned it's about even. But hard tuned the R is better I think.

Still this is a great DLC pack. Not a bad car!!

I bought a second example of each VW to turn into race machines - and will most likely buy at least one more of each. ;)

I took them up to a modest but hefty 349hp, gave each a Stage 3 weight reduction and the bodymod treatment - the Scirocco looks particularly sexy - and hit Spa in Arcade Pro with bots at 10.

Uhm... it was fun. :D

I can't remember anything in particular except that the Golf R is very stable and well mannered, while the Scirocco is quick and can get out of hand if you don't watch her closely in turns or when braking.

No, every car has its good points. I like all the DLC cars, and a vast majority of the cars in GT5. I'm wasting all my money buying them all, modding them and racing as many as the mood hits me to try. GT5 really is a car nuts heaven. ;) Merry Christmas.

Precisely. I haves 940+ cars and no duplicates.

The Scirocco is Volkswagen's car in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, and they won the team championship this season and finished second in the driver's championship so I'm not surprised to see it perform well :) Hope next DLC brings a TC version of it ;)

I also think VW had a Scirocco or two in the Nürburgring 24 hours this year, didn't they?

First thing I did was drive the Scirocco and man oh man it's my new favorate car. Wish we had it here in U.S.

I'll be totally honest I find the Scirocco a little bit dull, I've been lucky enough to drive one irl and I think GT has done a good job of copying it. never thought I would say this but the car I enjoyed the most out of the DLC was the Skyline, Can't believe I'm saying that, Don't tell Kaz he will put more of them in !!!!

I love the car so much that I bought another one and built it to the GT24 specs I could find. The gearing is really just about perfect for the 'Ring stock. I am just hitting the limiter at 170 mph right at the bridge at the end of the Dottinger Hohe. Only real complaint is it gets wild if you catch the grass. Im beating the SLS AMG in the League B race at the 'Ring quite handily. It feels totally different, more on the edge and somehow, more fun to drive now.
