Don't buy it, win it. It's great for rally racing, but not much else (there is this cheapo rubber band/ toothpick thingy)
:p

The Escudo is definately worth buying because you can get it over 1800hp and it will slaughter your opponent in ALL of the rally races. The bad news is that it is only good on rally tracks. Also, with the right settings you can take it over 500 mph!! An easy way to get money for this car is to race the European Championship in Amature mode and get all golds in the first 4 races. Then save your game. Exit out of the 5th race and you will automatically win the series. If you are awarded the Vertigo race car you can sell it for 300,000 credits. If not, reload the game until you do get it. Doing his can get you around 300,000 credits per hour. Have fun.

I don't think it's worth spending 1mil credits on a car u can win!!
Granted it may take a while but even when I had 3 mil I wouldn't buy it as I knew I could beat the rally mode with my turbo'ed Evo VII prototype, it might have taken a while but the feeling after completing the last race was great, I got 3 cars (1 for completing the series of races, the Escudo for completing Rally and the 787B for 75%) it was like Xmas came early!!

I actually can't remember buying any seriously expensive cars (over 100K) come to think of it:)

Actually, it turns quite well when tuned properly. Oh, wait, you still have to learn how to drive!!!! :p :D

Seriously, it can be quite the corner-carver if you set it up right, but the technique required is... odd

So what are the settings and what is the odd driving technique? As far as I am concerned the only bad thing about the Escudo is its turning. Please Share.

I've posted decent settings around here before ( though I forget where) but since then, I have discovered a couple more... quirks of the 'scud.

I CAN tell you this: use the analog nature of the throttle button for all it's worth!!!

If you got the skillz, beat my current 'scud time at Complex String in 4:11.xxx ...without ever leaving the track!!! One little puff o' dust and ya gotta try again...:D

I challenge you ;)
but I doubt I stand a chance...
My driving skills needs improvement...

By the way, do I have to run ALL the arcade races for each class and circuit? It like a million races or so...

I wouldn't buy it, however, I would certainly drive it. Just finish the Rally Races with all golds and they'll just give it to ya. :D

I finally won a Suzuki Escudo last night. Max speed I can get on it is only 280 mph. Has anybody gotten anymore? If so.....how?

I've got my 'scud goin slightly faster then that! about 1400Km/h in fact, I did use those scanky wheelie settings, but it still takes some effort to get the turns done in Test Course without touching the bloody edges (TCS and ASM are set to 0!) u need a fairly fast exit and to be wheelie-ing by the start of the tunnel (on the opposite side of the track)

Not very practical for racing on anything but test course, but it is the most boring track, I got it down to 1:18 a lap, gonna get less when I get my S license and do Like the Wind :) (so much for the CTR being THE test course car:cool: )
