Is there a list of most or all cars that have set a speed record available?

E.g. Jaguar XJ220 set speed record of 212 in 1990
Mclaren F1 set speed record of 215 in 1994
Koeinesegg CXX Set speed record of 240 in 2004
Bugatti Veyron set speed record of 254 in 2006

I know those are estimates but you get the idea...does such a list exist? :)

Mclaren F1 set speed record of 215 in 1994

231 mph or 243.08 mph (limiter removed) ;)

• Don't know if these help?

List of 0-60 times

STANDING QUARTER MILE COMPARISON FIGURES

Ultima GTR - 9.9secs @143mph
Bugatti Veyron - 10.4secs@139mph
Ferrari Enzo - 11.1secs@133mph
Porsche Carrera GT - 11.3secs@131mph
McLaren F1 - 11.6secs@125mph
Saleen S7 - 11.8secs@119mph
Porsche Ruf R Turbo - 11.9secs@122mph
Lamborghini Murcielago - 12.0secs@121mph
Ford GT40 - 12.2secs@121mph

Porsche 996 Turbo - 12.4secs@115mph
Porsche 911 GT3 - 12.4secs@113mph
Ferrari 360 - 12.9secs@110mph
Corvette C5 - 13.4secs@107mph
Honda NSX - 13.4secs@105mph
Porsche Boxster S - 14.2secs@99mph

Lists like this, compiled from many different and unreliable sources are pretty meaningless.

Ultima GTR is that Formula One thing?

Damn, those 1/4 mile times seem so damn slow, I'm used to like 5...

And that record still stands, as far as I am aware, since no-one's ever done a Guinness World Records ratified run in a faster car (Veyron, Koenigsegg, err) - though I note a claim on Casio's link that the SSC Ultimate Aero has done a GWR run, but I can't find it on their admittedly very crappy website...

I'm not too sure. They (the record-keepers) tend to divide purpose-built cars (Bluebirds, Thrusts, Railton Mobil Special, etc.) from the production vehicles. In addition, the Lunar Speed Record (10mph in a Rover, I think) is incredibly obscure. So, a master list has not been compiled yet.

I can certainly try, though.

The 2007 Guinness book agrees, though that was published pre-SSC.

Don't ask me why I happen to know what a Guinness book says.
