i thought after engine overhauling that mileage will be back to 0. i tried it and did not work.👎

Reverse? In some old cars if you went reverse you would lower you mileage.
There's no way to this in GT5 I think.

No way to do it that I know of. But I have to ask, why would you want to?

It be would nice if they had a " miles since engine/chassis rebuild " on top of the total miles on the car.

Considering they have a whole section devoted to maintenance, I think this omission is quite odd.

My apologizes for the mini hack:)

Damn, I was gonna say that.

You can't take miles from an engine any more than you can restore someone's virginity.

Actually that's possible for a surgeon, the part with the virginity not with the engine. I read something about that on the internet that some "bad" girls with really religious parents do that. I remember that because I laughed so hard that I got stomach ache.

Replacing a flap of skin doesn't change history.

Why do you want to reset it?
I love the mileage function, then I can see how much time me and the car have spent together :sly:

I miss the possibility to see mileage during races though...:guilty:

No.

In Japan , The us and many other countries like france , austraila and uk it is illegal because you are commiting fraud and it is incredibly stupid thing to do.
It is a good thing they dont allow changing the mileage in GT5 it would be unrealistic and unfaithful to real life.

It is an intresting point though how far does the engine rebuild go in GT5 if it replaces all the parts then techincally it would be classed as a new engine but if it does not then it is still classed as a used engine.

Even if the engine is new, the car has still done the miles on the odometer so whichever way you look at it, a car that's done 100,000 miles with a new engine is exactly that

After 7 years or so it will return to it's previous state... Oh cars! Yeah seems to me the only reason to wind back the odometer is to scam someone, otherwise you would just leave it be and try to get to 999,999 miles then write to SAAB asking for a new car.

Chasis Refurbishment, Engine Overhaul will bring it back to brand new performance levels. Very expensive in teh X2010 and Formula cars. I did it with my Formula GT after it had like 20,000 miles on it.

for me it will be good to reset the millage to those you are buying from the ucd. at all others i like to see them on and now how much i have drive this car.

why do you want a car with 0 miles/kms anyway? Its just plain stupid. You wanna put it in your Gran Tusimo garage and watch it whole day? You know this game is made for racing cars.
In real life you cant get a car with miles on it to 0.
