Is there an easy way to build mileage points?

I avoid setting up an elaborate controller rig by creating a lobby at the oval track and getting out of the pit lane in a Tomahawk X and then pressing Options on the controller and walking away.

Ok just tried it.

I made a custom race in lobby .Set it to endurance for 10 mins with the tomahawk.

I started from the pit and left the game running. I exited after 11 mins (it kept running) and I got nothing .I didn't even recognise my mileage for the day

Don't race, just get on the track by pressing the gas and then hit Options. Exit lobby after a while and you will have points.

Exactly as MidfieldMaven said.I set mine for free run,not endurance or race,on Northern Isle with the tomahawk x,as soon as you are out of the pits pause and leave it to auto drive for however long you want.
If you want to make a note of your milage before you race and then after,it will go up,this still racks up milage points as i tried it earlier after posting my pic.You wont get a message saying you have earned milage points like you do in other races though.

Sorted. Cheers for that. I done 209 laps which equates to just over 40 mins on the northern isle speedway .Managed to earn 2.5k mileage points, so I could get the lancer.

Cheers guys

Seeing as PD are banning players who use exploits, is the pause method above considered legitimate?

I wouldn't class it as an exploit to be honest, you're doing nothing to take advantage of the games glitches.

Anyone can confirm?

What's your average speed in GT Sport according to achievements? Mine is just above 50kph, reasonable.
Don't think i've spent over 100h just driving.

There are two records - 'play time' and 'driving time'. You can see your driving time and km on kudosprime.

Or you could , grind the GT leauge oval events for x2 points . The loss in time from having to restart is still better than doing laps . You earn 100% More points per lap.

could you set an auto drive for say 100 laps on nurburgring? that way you would get the experience also?

edit: I cannot get the auto drive to work. help?

Go onto lobby
Create own lobby
Set it as free run
Only allow friends
Give the lobby a name
Select track

The game will start with your car in the pits. Touch the accelerator for the car to get moving and it'll flash auto drive. Press the options button on the controller and leave it

So is there a trick to keeping the paused auto run session active? Tried running it over night for 8 hours and when I came back the ps4 was asleep. when I turned gran turismo back on it had a message about disconnecting due to idle input.

Keep the PS4 controller connected to the PS4 so it stays charged .The battery may have died, resulting in the game becoming confused

I actually had the controller plugged in, but it wasnt plugged into the ps4. Just a usb block by the couch. So the controller had battery and power, but the game was still complaining about no input.

I literally buy everything from the Mileage Exchange every Tuesday and it is maxed out again by Thursday. Just play the game.

Why are people not just doing this?
I simply do not understand the point in buying a game just to play it with a rubber band
I too buy everything every week and still have thousands of points left over.
All I do is play the game normally.
I’ve now started t upgrade every car I own just so points don’t get wasted when it maxes out at 99,999

Same. I purchase anything I don't already own every week and currently have 75000 Mi still

I gotta exploit because I don't have a whole lot of time to play. Maybe a handful of hours in a week. Between work, 3 kids and their activities in the evening plus getting dinner on the table... It leaves for little time. Plus I have other games I like to play and an unhealthy obsession with board games.

Absolutely agree here. I'm 30, married and have 2 kids. It's not a financial cheat, but if it's there to be exploited then do it. I struggle for time.

However, I am trying to find as much time as I can to play on it. I've also gotten back in to making liveries.

The initial reason I made this post was to ask whether there is certain modes in the game that I can win more points. I.e, is the world championship more rewarding than drifting or offline sport mode. But knowing this exploit has helped me ten fold.

I'm 34, basically married but no kids. Work 45-50 hours a week. I abused the pit glitch for credits and let the AI earn me mileage points. If I were 15 again like during GT2 era, maybe I wouldn't "cheat" but I'm too old to care.
