I was wondering if there is the feature of having gas in your car, and being able to run out, then making you have to pit. There was this pic "what do these icons mean.." or soemthing like that on that thread, and there was a gas thing at the bottom, just wondering.

Nothing confirmed yet, but the pics show a petrol pump on the dash and it has been mentioned by KY but not confirmed.

ok, thanks, if anyone has any pics that have thsi petrol thing on it, place it here please, cuz i have a hard time loading that other thread pic, thanks.

i think that was on the prius, something about the hybrid system, not gas if i remeber right.

right, i just read something about that being the "Prius Version" and it having to do with the gas mileage etc.

Look at any in game pics, it's on the dash near the TCS and ASM indicators. It's not just the Prius version.

do you know where i can find some In Dash pics of the game, i have a hard time locating them...thanks

Heres one, it's not the Prius version.

Thanks, I like those gauges, wonder wut version that is...? anyway, yeah, that gas pump thing is puzzling...

Thats a pic from GT4 at theE3, the icon didn't do anything in the show version but it was there.

Yep, the other stuffs on there as well, the TCS and ASM icons and the handbrake light.

Only thing about having gas is this: You're running on almost empty but you are on your last lap so you decide not to refill. When you are about half a mile to a mile away from the finish you run out and have to coast to the finish line, right when you get there you just stop. How would you finish the race?

NiCE those gauges are so phat, if only the can/usa version was in KM's as well as MPH but w/e, the games gonna be amazing...

You wouldn't, you'd be classed as a DNF.

Ahhh yes, that's what I look forward to, out-strategizing someone in a long race, can't wait :trouble:

exactly, what a majority of the ppl want is a REALISTIC game, so if there was a whole fuel issue, that would be awesome!

you would'nt finish the race. It happens in real racing why not in GT.

What I'm looking forward to is I can set my pit strategy including how much gas I refill and the tyre style during a race..And the less gas means the car is lighter, the car is faster.

In most motorsport's, by the time your gas is low enough to pit, your tires are mediocre at best. Which mean's, the lack of fuel, combined with the deterioration of the tire's, will even thing's out.

I also doubt PD will take the time to write extra code, just so that the weight of the car's drop, as the fuel is consumed.

My 2cent's.

The weight dropping wouldn't be hard to implement into the game, it's almost alredy written in the weight reduction upgrades codes, that would only need modding. Beside with KY being the perfectionist he is I'd bet it would be in.

Maybe in the hardest difficulty,it's will like that.Because that's totally real drive simulation.

GT is simulation in every difficulty, the difficulty is how good the AI cars drive, it shouldn't have anything to do with the way a car handles or the way the tyres wear etc, it should be always on in GT mode but selectable in arcade mode.

Take a good look at that pic again. You can see the fuel gauge, and next to that in the center the oil can gauge, and next to that the battery gauge. on top of those are some more gauges, possibly for the tires, and suspension parts.

Remember, Yamauchi said the vehicle's chassis parts will wear out, and the battery could fail during a race.
