In my (admittedly short) experience, there is. I got the game on May 5, started playing online a few days later, and outside of the obvious punters, everyone else has either been solid or even very "polite", for lack of a better term. Frequently I find myself in one on one races where either I or my opponent will go off-track and the other will stop and wait for them to resume racing. I'm really surprised by it, and happily surprised when I do it for someone and they return the favor later. I've had some great races with a lot of different people, and I'm pleased to say that online has exceeded my expectations, thus far. Obviously there are people who will happily put you in the dirt simply for the pleasure of doing so, but my experience has been extremely positive. 3 racers in particular stand out from the last few days: Mtnbiker124, cstart25 (or something similar) and GTP-Vipond. All great racers and obviously honorable people. My PSN name is badmuhfuggah, and if I put you off, I assure you, it was either unintentional or (in rare cases) payback. I'd much rather run clean races with real racers than stick people in the kitty litter, and I bet you would too.

Some days are better than others online, if you see a bunch of GTP tags at the front of people's PSN then keep racing there, it'll be good clean fun 👍

On a slightly related topic, the latest XKCD comic was kind of amusing in regard to honor in racing:

stoping?? for other people when they go off that is rare becaue i wouldnt do it unless the guy was a friend or maybe on a 1v1 never seen that before

Yeah there's no point stopping in the middle of the track, in the middle of a high speed bend - that's gonna end in insult being added to injury. :sly:
