Is this a good wheel for the price?

I wouldn't even say it is worth half that. Dagger, you get what you pay for. If you cant at least get a DFGT, keep on using the DS3. This garbage is just a waste of money.

With wheels like that, all they're doing is emulating a DS3 instead of the game actually recognising there is a wheel connected to the PS3 and changing it so that the wheel directly selects how much the front wheels turn. Wheels that are recognised by the game also have force feedback which is a massive plus as it helps you know the balance of the car in your hands. That wheel might have a rumble or vibration but it isn't the same thing. Plus I doubt it will turn past 180 degrees lock to lock which is ok for F1/LMP style cars but for everything else a little more turning angle might be preferable.

Amen  .

On another note, if you're really desperate for a wheel and you don't want to be paying for half of one, then I suggest getting a used Logitech Driving Force Pro. I found one for £30 on eBay the other day which is a deal and a half for a 900 degree wheel with force feedback. It might be old but it will definitely do the job if you have nothing else to turn to.

I'd say it's worth $60. :sly:
Yeah, but is the technology good enough to be better than a ds3?

A complete waste? Sounds a little harsh for an official licensed product...

30 euros, that's about 45 USD, not bad for a goodwheel.

Thanks for the help guys, saved me 60 bucks.

I'd say it isn't, but what do I know, I have a T500 RS that I spent over $500 on. ;)

You're welcome. Tell us when you've ordered your wheel of choice :gtpflag: .
I'm not sure I'll get one, unless it's in nearmint condition. There's a bunch of stories about people getting screwed out of their money on the used market.

Well of course you have to be wary of those damn 🤬 who do it just because they have nothing better to do or just for the 's. If you are going to be buying used then ask the owner for actual pictures of the product and a video of it in action if you're that concerned that you might be conned. If you want to reduce the chances of getting screwed then offer to collect it in person so you can see what you're buying before you've bought it.

The wheel seems to be in good condition and nothing wrong with it from what I can see in the pictures. You've only got an hour on that auction to think about it and I wouldn't go ahead and bid right away. I usually wait until the last 5 minutes on a busy auction to see what the prices are like because you will be very surprised on how much the prices can potentially soar if a lot of people find out about it.

I'll ask mom to bid on it, I have no credit card (Only 15). I'm wary about blowing all my money, I worked hard for it :).

Just watch the prices of the wheel first to see if you are able to afford it, or if you'll be needing to pay back debts to your mum :odd: . I will presume you have a little over $60 to spend so don't be afraid to go slightly over your budget to get quality stuff (at least it is quality to what you was about to get  )
Well that's an even better deal at the moment because that's the newer version of the same wheel; bigger wheel rim, faster FFB motor and more buttons/functions. It has a day left on it so you'll need to decide which one you'll commit to.

Nope, 60 is as high as I can convievably go. I need 30 for flea medicine for the cat.

So which is better from the pics, first or second?

If $60 is your absolute limit then the second is the better option to head for since its newer. It's still got a day left on it so the price can still escalate quickly in a matter of hours.

$38 -----> $140+

I'll check in the morning, or if the price on the first one doesn't go up...

Official license is not exactly synonymous with quality product. That wheel isn't worth the plastic it was made from.

Found a used one on amazon for 60 bucks, waiting for mom to get the money in the bank and buy it, then I'll give her my money.

Bro save your self from disappointment...save and wait till you can buy a DFGT.I have nothing against sellers of used items but if you can wait, buy brand new.

Just be warned. Once you go this route, there's no turning back. First it starts with a DFGT and a TV tray, then you start saving all your change so you can build a better wheel stand. After that comes a trip to the junk yard to get a car seat, next thing you know, your whoring yourself out for a thrustmaster, tactile and a motion rig.

Forgot to ask, what was the outcome of the eBay browsing? Did you get the DFP for under $60 or are you still waiting on the DFGT auction that's going (I think)?

I don't know if you noticed but shipping is $50 for the 2nd link you posted.
Ah, the joys of online shopping. You think you've grabbed yourself a bargain off the internet until you look at the shipping costs and realise you've just been ripped off. $50 for shipping?! This is why I hate shopping online.
