Is this so difficult to understand?

Stereotypes are not the same as cultural environments, sorry, you are too Americanized to understand that. Most Americans always confuse stereotypes with a culture, don't know why...

Oh, by the way, I lived in Japan for some years. You should visit them some time, it is awesome.

Thank God there are clear minded Mexicans out there to point out the difference to us dumb Americans.

Hey dudes:

I have 1196 cars in my garage, obviously all the cars in the game plus many of the same models with different colors, etc.

I got around 99% of my cars by playing the game (grinding is a pretty low-esteem term). Just 1% by trading.

I enjoyed the game at every moment, yes, also cursed at the TV sometimes, etc., and I'm level 40 on both A and B Spec.

Why would everybody complain about PD restricting stuff?

The idea of THIS game is to earn stuff, to work for things.

Yes, I know, Japanese people mix chores and fun, but it's THEIR game, which happens to be also played by guys from other cultures that believe that fun has to be plain fun, with no effort or work in the mix.

In the end dudes, you are playing THEIR game, developed by Japanese people with Japanese minds with what the Japanese think is fun or logical.

Can't you guys understand that either you play by their rules or you just don't play?

Is that so difficult to understand?

GREAT WORK PD, this makes me feel that my efforts in the game are even more rewarding than before...

Oh, and I'm not a selfish dude, I always sent the hard to get cars to my friends... :D But now it's over...

Good for you. How long did it take you to (x3) earn the 20mil credit to buy those three 20mil cars? I just hit the 20mil mark and it took me forever to earn it.

No offense here but check your own threads

That is a lot of grinding and "hard work" :)

How did you get every color of fgt again?

Wow, you should be hired by the FBI, such a brilliant investigator...

At that time, it was impossible in the game to get all the colors of FGT without trading, now they are showing up in different colors...

You impress me, the next FBI super star...

Yes, I know it hurts a lot when an American is left inferior or less learned than another guy, especially if he/she comes from another country.

:D

Guess sarcasm does't travel. At least not to Mexico.

People should be able to do as they please with the game. Not everyone has the time, skill or desire to play the game how PD wishes.

It would take about 2 years to complete the game platinum playing everyday for 2 hours a day. That is just ridiculous. 👎

I agree with the update! I see a lot of people asking for x2010. Its unfair to the people like me that earned some expensive cars.

Well done PD

I never understood this. Why is it unfair to those who "earned" expensive cars? As somebody who just got their first X2010 from reaching level 35 in B-Spec and have never made a trade in my life, I think I can say that I've "earned" my expensive cars.

I simply didn't care how other people got their cars. I just wanted to play the game the way I liked to play the game. I knew people duped cars but it never bogged down my enjoyment for it or made me feel as if my car was worth less. If you really think about, your top cars are worth less now. Back then I may have been able trade an FGT for a Ford Mark IV or a Lambo Miura. After the update I can't trade or sell an FGT for anything.

Yeah, ignorance can always get maked-up with excuses like sarcasm, or jokes, especially when it comes to guys like you, so flag-sheltered, so powerful, so learned...

LOL

With this update PD is telling us to PLAY THE GAME!

I think the reason for this update is because too many people are asking, trading, and duping the RedBull x2010.

Dude, I suspect there used to be a lot of people spending way more time here at the marketplace than actually playing the game...

suspect all you want, but few people I've traded with were under level 30 in a spec, and last I checked you didn't get to 30 by trading cars.
What's the purpose of this thread one more time?

Then they should have developed a proper game with proper races and just rewards. I did an endurance race the other day and got 112,000 credits and some car I don't care for and can't sell.

Ok, ok , I might have misjudged you, sorry.

Now, this thread is to try to make people understand, that the Japanese in general have a culture of work, and effort, and it even reflects in video games and their idea of "fun"...

Also, to try to explain to pissed forumers that this will happen as long as the game is made by a so Japanese-thinking guy like Yamauchi Kazunori, so pissing will be useless, PD will just do that kind of things...

Do I really need to explain to you the obvious?

Yes, they should increase credit reward on endurance races. I just finished 24 hour la sarthe and it only gave me 200,000 credits

play the game ??

wich races (done in 3 hours)

wich tracks (bored in 3 hours)

GT1 through GT4 were also made by a Japanese company, and most of the problems people have with GT5 weren't in those games.

That's just absurd and totally disrespectful off the effort it takes to complete a 24 hour race....especially with no save feature.

if it's so obvious why is there a thread?
And if your statement is in any way true, why was this update not the standard set forth from the beginning?
You don't mop the floor before you sweep it do you?
And telling a forum that expressing their opinions over something that upsets them is 'useless' is ignorant let alone just plain arrogant.
If you think every japanese person that plays this game isn't as upset as us dumb americans over the new update then you really need to take a step back and stop grouping the gaming community into race or region, because first and foremost, all of us are PEOPLE.
You get off that cloud yet, or are you still so much better than the rest of us lowly traders?

I cannot agree fully with you. GT5 has a lot of problems, but eliminating the dupe thing is a legit modification, and that was not available in previous games either. You had to earn stuff too, and as far as I remember there were numerous super hard things to get back then too. Yes, GT5 forces you to "grind" more, so to speak, and that sucks, but that is the idea they had. They make the game. Either abide, or don't play. I'm not defending them, I'm trying to make you understand that pissing is useless. I found myself pretty annoyed by repetitive stuff too, but I enjoy the game a LOT overall, and can see that as a minor thing compared to the awesome driving experience GT5 provides.

Dude, chill, you are taking me wrong. First of all, the American argument was directed to another guy that told me ignorant things with a notorious lack of Japanese culture knowledge, confusing concepts. Not at ALL Americans. Secondly, I explained to you that pissing will only make you more frustrated because these guys will just do things like this. I'm not telling you not to express your opinions.

Now, please be honest, the gift thing was there to gift cars or trade, not to dupe cars. They got pissed, they removed it (somehow). Or, did you lose the cars you sent out to help people? If that happened then I'll be so wrong...

Ok now?

It was in bspec mode and forgot to tell you it gave me 2.8 + million xp and got the toyota gt one race car.

I really think credit rewards on endurance race should be atleast 1m credits nothing less.

I sense a lot of rage in you, but sorry, the Japanese made/make it :ouch: which equals to their game being shared to millions worldwide. (Skylines anyone?)

Under your theory, Star Wars would be Chinese, since more Chinese guys saw the last movie than Americans.

The Japanese make it for who? I think you'll find that games are made to cater for their biggest market, or else they wouldn't sell. As for Star Wars, well that's just a silly comparison.

So this Japanese game we have, why isn't all the text written in Japanese? How did I manage to buy it in a high street store without having to get it imported from Japan? I sure doesn't sound Japanese to me.

The car is only a good reward if you want that particular car (or don't already have it). But if you don't care for it, you can't sell and now you can't even trade it.

The two 24 hour races should be at least 5 million in my opinion. Do 4 of those and you can afford a vintage Ferrari or Jaguar. That I would understand and accept but the current system is a total failure.

And why is there no NASCAR endurance race like the Daytona 500? Instead we have those two ridiculous races at Tsukuba. Just unbelievable.

Again dude, it is made by the Japanese, they decide what to do with it, so isn't that enough? Yes they ship it world wide, so? It created by the Japanese, and they think chores are fun. End of the story, if guys on other countries don't like that, cool, don't play it.

ehh no, when you make a product, the market decides what it is.

Unless you are the very selected few who have enough status to just do your own thing like it is a piece of artwork, and tell people what they want.......but I don't agree with that mentality, because it's obnoxious and self-limiting. And that's the exactly reason GT5 disappoint in so many places.

It seems you rather less people play GT5 so less people will complain about it, I don't see how you are helping this game at all, if GT5 become a niche hardcore fan service type of game, it will just go downhill from there. More rigid ideas that only the core fanboys will like, less innovation learn from what everyone else is doing.

Think about your motive for making this thread pal, are you helping the game or just finding excuses for it?

That's why I say I understand but wholeheartedly disagree, when you crowd a development team of a platinum selling franchise with some sort of holy halo which protects it from objective opinion and global vision, you are doing it no good.

if GT5 is a cottage industry project like LFS than I will say otherwise, but frankly GT5 is a mass market game and relys on its mass appeal, or else they won't be able to afford this sort of production quality.

Good luck making GT6 with a budget only supported by the Japanese Market. 👍

You are pretty stubborn, please only try to think about this as you go to bed tonight...

"The Japanese love work, and effort in everything, even their video games or their idea of fun, that includes GT5, which is made by the Japanese for the Japanese and then for millions around the world. Selling stuff to millions around the world will not make you change your culture if you are Japanese..."

Sweet dreams...

LOL, you guys never change, you guys will never understand the Japanese, they develop stuff for themselves, and THEN share to profit more, you might be amazed at the Japanese budgets for things...

There should be an IGNORANCE REPELLANT here... :D

Can't we all get along?

sorry but why MUST we agree with the Japanese value? Ever heard of differences in value and philosophy?

You have expressed your opinion so why can't we? I don't know what is ignorant about believing in other ways of doing things.

You are like a evangelical preacher and everyone who disagree must be condemned to hell, and frankly that's more a problem than the dupers and grinders.....at least they don't tell me how I play my game.

I see this thread won't last long.
