Is video game rage taking over?

I was watching my brother play some random video game the other day and what he did when he lost was a little frightening. He took the control and smashed it against the ground while screaming loudly. When my dad went inside to see what was going on, my brother started pummeling him. I know I get mad when I don't reach any goal, including beating a game, but I think some people are too absorbed in everything. I play games because their fun. I dislike people who try to max out their level and beat every mini-game like the end of the world is coming. Iv'e seen too many fat-asses that aren't able to lift themselves up after a couple of hours of gameplay to overlook this.
 
wow, i get mad sometimes, and have even taken out the disk, cursed the programmers and had to stop playing for a while, but nothing like that.:mad: :banghead:
Seriously, your brother may have an immotional (sp?) disorder or something.
I know if I had a son that did that, id take him out to the backyard, smack the piss outa him and take away the video games. that was totally uncalled for by your brother...
 
I end up doing some of the hard flying/driving bits from the games my wife or kids play. While it's going on, I get a bit surly, but I've never broken anything, and as soon as it's over, I'm fine.

What's funny is if I curse or something, she's like "All right, time to quit now" but when she's in the same spot she gets a bit surly too...

I have a not-quite nephew who goes ape if he doesn't win, but is absolutely ridiculous when he does. A race in Crash Team Racing is hilarious, as he'll cackle like a git when he gets you with a rocket, but stomps off crying and shouting "I didn't win the cup!" when he loses.

Poor winners make poor losers. Even at 7.
 
Sounds to me like your brother needs to chill out a bit tell him to stay away from the game and go back to when he feels he can do it:tup:Then tell him if he's broken any part of the console then you break his face:D Thats if he's younger:O If not still go at him lol
 
If I was the dad, and my son did that to me. I would probably do a couple wrestling moves on him, beat him with a baseball bat, tie him up and take him to the middle of nowhere blindfolded and leave him there with all his crap.

My excuse for the police: " He ran off with his friend and was mad at me, I dont know where he is now.. OMG OMG OMG im so worried (sarcastic) "

Ha, you wanna talk about video game rage?

Instead of throwing controllers, i break them..I get uber-demon rage when dumb **** happens in a game..I tend to twist the crap outta the controller and grind my teeth and only thing on my mind is death :trouble:

I broken 1 control and tried to eat up the analog bottun :lol: I get really pisst of when I lose like a race or a match at pro evulotion soccer. But that's just me. And btw...I'm not fat :)

Also, the easy route around this problem is: DON'T LOSE!

I don't have that problem, because I'm perfect.
 
I do think some gamers are crazy, like your brother who started hitting your dad because he lost? Although i have to admit i broke my last monitor because of Counterstrike rage when I was losing in a scrim. Then there is another time when I dented the case when I kicked it because my video card was giving me Counterstrike problems heeehee..
