Is your B-spec-Bob as stupid as mine?

Everytime he comes out of the tunnel on Côte d'Azur, he always, always, ALWAYS drives straight into barrier on the left, during cornering right before the chicane. He always does this. So he loses control, and the car spins 180° counter-clockwise resulting in a chain reaction of crashes.

What does your do?

I was going to say yes but yours does sound dumber than mine, not that my Bob's are smart but marginally less dumb.

I don't have a B-Spec Bob. But I DO have a B-Spec Kane, Ilya, and Wolfram. :P (K. Steiner, I. Kovanen, and W van der Veen)

But yeah, my drivers are pretty stupid at times. I haven't run that track yet, but on Daytona they always drop from 160 down to ~130 in the corners for no reason. I ran the same truck flat out through the whole track with no problem and killed the field. But I can't get them to lay off the brake and actually win the race, it's infuriating.

Mine only seem to do it when trying to overtake in the inside of the AI. I now start to pace down just after the hairpin so he is a bit calmer when he gets to the chicane, seems to help.

Set your brakes to 1/0 so that when he brakes at odd places it has little effect. (Of course this works badly on tracks that really need brakes.)

If you tell him to pace down as he is in the tunnel he will take the corner just fine do this for a few laps and he will learn to take it this way always without instruction. You need to tell each of your drivers this when they err then they learn how to drive each track, so when the same track appears in a different championship they know the circuit. Remember they only learn from your instructions ? Once learnt they improve.

Mine gets caught there if pushed, I suggest you give him a slow down command at the top of the hill.

How can my B spec driver be 3 seconds a lap slower in the FGT than I am and still win the F1 races by 4 or 5 seconds?

No. My Bob just got a full ride scholarship to Oxford University.

Problem is that he has to drive to school...and has a poor sense of direction.:)

Spot on.

There are two places at Monaco where Bob can come unstuck; after the tunnel and on the final right hand kink onto the S/F straight. He needs to be calm and NOT trying to overtake, keep him on the racing line.

Because in B-spec the AI is much slower - they're all Bobs too!

No he always does this either because he is malpositiononed in a posttunnel overtaking situation or because he is overheated. Learn to B-spec and quit blaming the godamn bob, its like blaming C++ if you make a terrible program on it.

my driver is usually pretty clean, however on clubman stage route 5 he slams into the barrier on the very last left bend before the straight and gets overtaken by everyone

The same thing applies here through the race pace him down on this section then on the last lap if he is in the lead he should not crash as he has learnt how to take the turn.

Pace him down earlier and earlier, it works. Pace him all the way down if you have to, he wont hit the barriers unless trying to pass on the inside or if his pace is anywhere above blue

neil1280 if pacing him down so much does not work try him in another car or another Bob in that car, they have have different skills maybe the Bob you use on that track just can't master it, I have one that cannot take the hairpin on Tsukuba he spins almost everytime but he stills wins so it does not worry me,plus i think it is the FGT i put him in just hard to handle when they hit the kerbs. *he does take it right if i sit and pace him down but then for some reason does it again if left alone.* The other Bobs don't they learn and keep to it, I call that Bob "Diesel Dave" as he seems a bit thick, slow and smokes to much on the hairpin
