Is your car in GT4?

ukoldschool
each to their own... to me VW group cars are completely soul less (last good one was the 1.6 mark 1 Gti golf), the steering is devoid of feel and the cars are bland. The dilution of the experince is even worse when you consider that a golf gti is virtually identical (to drive) to a skoda/seat/tt - common engines may save money for the manufacturor but god theyre boring.......

Ever since my first renault 5 gordini turbo back in 84 Turbocharged cars are the norm for me.

Err ever been in a G-limited VW G60 golf? i think you will change ur mind after that!!

I was very dissapointed that my MKIII GTI VR6 didnt make it in the game. And after reading various posts, it appears the MKIII vas not a very pleasing bodystyle for many. Oh well I like it MUCH better than any MKIV's (Sorry).

My dad has a MKIV Wolfsburg Jetta 1.8T so the closest to that would be the Bora 4motion V6.

Oh yeah, someone said the MKV GTI would get 3 wheels, I believe you are incorrect. The new rear suspension layout will make it much harder to get 3 wheels.

BTW: In my opinion G60's sound like poo. VR's sound much better.

Here's my digital baby. Same mica blue mk1 MR2 supercharger. Mine's a t-bar roof, only tin roof's in the game tho. Real life car is auto and tuned to around 200bhp. I can drive the game version in auto mode and get bhp to around 230bhp. Both drive very differently!
Managed to get similar wheels too.

My sister has a Ford ka :P
But the Ford Ka in GT4 is the bog-standard version. My sister has the KaÂł (luxury Ka) which looks different in terms of paintjob and rims etc...

I'm looking towards getting a Lancia Delta HF as my second...or third car in the future. Im glad GT4 has it in its non rally form. :)

nope.... my rides not in the game either.... as i'm driving an Aus-spec 300zx 2+2 seater (for those that don't know, the australian delivered models are natrually aspirated:( ).....

plus the car is sporting an aftermarket stillen rear wing. Here is a pic of my pride and joy......

My car was in GT2, not in GT3 nor GT4 :grumpy: :

Ford/Mercury Cougar 2.5 V6 '99.

Haven't got any pics of the actual car.
But this is just a picture to get an idea.

BTW: In my opinion G60's sound like poo. VR's sound much better.

While VRs sound great, G60's don't "sound like poo" when they have headers, Techtonic exhausts, increased displacement, big valve heads, larger injectors, 268 Schricks, extrude honed intake manifolds, and forged internals.........in "my" opinion.

Back on topic, no, my cars are not in the game: 👎

my '01 civic is respresented, mine in the game has 18k miles, mine in real life has 181K miles, tiny difference. I was disappointed to find that my other car was not 1984 Rx7. One out of Two isn't bad.

My car, '03 350Z is in the game of course, my exact model isn't. Plus I have custom wheels that aren't on the game either. I would love to drive my exact car, but I don't have brembo brakes on my car, so it wouldn't be much of a car in GT4.

Guess it depends on what you mean by exact car. The '03 350Z on the game has touring model wheels, with brembo brakes, something that wasn't actually available. In '03, the track model was the only model with brembos, and that model had lightweight Rays as wheels.

But I'm just talking about brakes and wheels here of course, in essence, it is the same car.

No 700-series volvos in the game, unfortunately. I own a 1985 760 Turbo.

Polyphony's choice of cars is really confusing. For example, there are no significant Mustangs, no Mustang race, but every little worthless POS european FWD car is represented and has their own manufacturer race. Bizarre.

Here's my run around:

clean_ctr_photoshop.jpg

But please note this is a quick photoshop, where I have de-handled the car, lowered it slightly and made the windows darker.

Nice Type-R. Too bad they dont sell these in the U.S. All we got is the cheap Si.

Hell Yeah, they got Nissan Bluebird from '69, I have one but with 1200 engine and it's from 68, but it's looks same :)

I wished so much that they add VW Polo G40 that I own, the mkII version.
And of course, in Toyota's classics, I supposed to wait they include my Rallye Sprinter from early '69 (the KE15 version) It's just so unique car, Toyota have builded only 50 of that model, and I'm luckily to own one :) (thanks for my dad who gave it to me as legacy)

I was so juiced when I saw my car in GT4, the really ticked off to see the same ol' poor selection of american cars. Much better than before, but about purportional to GT3 to how many cars are in the game.

Where's the GT500? A GT350 and no 500? WOW.... gg PD.

There's my car. May not look that great but it's only got 30k origonal miles. And 4 new tires as of today ;) Replaced the origonal tires that had been on there for 20+ years and sat for over 10 of those years. The bad news... the motor needs to be rebuilt from sitting so long. It actually needs a bit of work. Some watter damage too. Not TOO much, but a little. I'd love the do this thing up right but first I'd need a second vehicle and a place to work. I'm probly just gonna run this thing till it dies or I find a good deal on a car I want. But by then I might have the income to do this thing right, and put a L28ET in the dang thing. And now I have another issue. Do I want this to be a toy car, or an all out race car? Well, i'm getting way off topic and I'm just gonna stop now. More pics are availible here.

There's something I really don't get about you folks.

You complain because your EXACT model of car isn't in GT4, then you complain because many different EXACT models of Skyline, and many different EXACT models of mass-produced but not very fast cars are in the game.

Are you just whining because PD doesn't cater specifically for you?

Just drive the goddamn cars and enjoy what's there. You can't please all the people all of the time, so PD are trying to please as many people as they can some of the time by including many versions of the most popular general cars and sports cars that THEY know about.

Send them a list detailing units sold of each and every car in the US in 2004 and they'll probably put the top 75 in the next game.

Yay! A fellow 406 Coupe owner :D

Pics of mine

I lov my car...and your engine......man...what a nice HP.....but i'm just wondering.....
Only 141mph?? Mine can easelly make's the 200km/h......and its diesel....!!!!
....what is the rate consume of gaz??(In liters/100km) in a average trip.....

I'm just a 406 coupé/Ferrrari Modena F1 FAN

Has anyone else noticed that their car is not accurately modelled? My Fiat Barchetta goes up to 120km/h (74 mph) in 2nd and red lines at 7000rpm (rev limiter cuts in at about 7200), but in the game the red line is at 6000rpm and 2nd doesn't go up nearly as far.

In the game, the car seems to lean more and doesn't pick up speed on hills as well as it does in real life.

Has anyone else noticed this for their cars?

yea my car is in the game.
the 1988 Honda Accord. tho mine has a 2.2 out of a 1990 accord and front end damage but it's all the same.
well my car is sorta modeled right. my accord badge is on the opposite side of the trunk but i got a US spec not a japanese spec hona.

YAY getting 29MPG at 120 MPH sure is fun

My car isn't in the game.

I've got a 1730 Mk2 XR2 engine in a Mk3 RST shell.

And, as there are new MK2 or Mk3 fiestas, that means there are no XR2's or Fiesta RS Turbo's!!!

Hope there will be for GT5!
