Seeing how life is catching up with me I only believed I was just forgetting that I had not
upgraded a particular car chosen to race with when I next fired up the PS3.

It happened again this morning when I went to tune the Nismo 380RS Super Leggera.

I know for a fact last night that I upgraded tires and boosted the HP to just over 400 but,
I fire up and go to tune and find it has no racing tires/tyres/tars
the suspension is as it came and the HP is back as it came from the dealership.

I'm not certain the spent on upgrade credits were returned or if they are gone but,
it looks to be a wise thing to hit the save button before backing out to shut down for the night.

Anyone else notice this happening or did I miss that you must save before shutting the PS3 down?

The "Saving Data" isn't at the bottom of the screen after buying something from the tuning shop and then leaving, so you must save it yourself. That's probably what happened.

Check to make sure they got installed, I had an issue with a couple cars where the part was bought but never installed. go into your garage, click on the car and click on tuning and make sure everything got installed.

Thanks guys, I'll watch myself a little closer from now on since I only believed it was just me forgetting.

I was sure it was auto saving on shutdown of the game.

SubSailor, that was where I saw the parts weren't there in the tuning list or in the Items lmenu either.
I just had not noted the amount of credits before I shut down to know if they were lost or not.

Auto save seems to save some other data for some odd reason, pretty silly on PD's part. I always manually save when quitting.

I figured this out when my game froze up on me, it had just auto saved right after I tuned up a car then froze, and all tuning dissapeared plus the money spent on that tuning.

It must be auto saving the amount of credits you have (to prevent cheating maybe), and not mods.
