It looks good but I don't think it will have anything on "My Name Is Earl" which follows it at 10pm tonight. That show rules.

There is 2 parts on tonight, one on at 9pm and the other at 9:30pm. Also it is on Channel 4, plus the person who wrote the series. Well wrote Father Ted guys.

But My Name Is Earl is probably the best comedy sitcom I've seen from the USA since.... A long time ago.

IT Crowd looks like a good start for the "Main Course" though.
:)

You'd be surprised. I really enjoyed it :) Must make sure i watch next week.

I enjoyed these bits in both eps.

First ep:

When he is sucking his thumbs to get any spare flavour off while a phone is ringing. Next he is a bit warn out so he has a drink, after that he picks the phone up and goes "Have you turned it off and on".

It was also funny when he goes not the face later on in the first ep.

In the 2nd Ep:

I liked when the ad for a new service is up, where an old lady has to ring a long number up lol. Also the bit where the stress mechine, goes up and down.

While someone is playing the knife game between the fingers lol. Later on I like when the fire starts lol, then a cople mins later the manager comes down. And he goes nice screen saver lol, but before that happened it was funny when the lady gets her foot stamped on.

Then she starts swearing at some new join owner lol, ok another thing that happened before the manager came down which was funny. Was well when the person who started the fire tries to put a fire out, with the Fire extinguisher.

Then the Fire extinguisher catches fire aswell, then he tries to ring up for someone to put the fire up but that fails. That was also funny, but the whole email someone to put a fire out took a bit long.

Another funny thing which happened in one of the eps, was when someone started bleeding. Because he tried to put someones shoes on lol.

it was good, but I found it to be a tad campy and well... overdone. If they tone it down a bit to make it more dull, i'm sure they'll do almost as well as The Office.

What? You cant, just.

End sentences and then start, new ones whenever. lol

You feel like it, i find it really hard to understand.

What you are talking. About, also the program sounds.

Funny.

I found the program average. I probably wouldn't watch it again. I find The Office better.

I found that hard to read too...

Is this IT as in a computer tech show version of the Office?

I don't understand where The Office link comes into this show. "It's a situation comedy based in an office" is probably the closest i can find.

No wait, i found a good'un, 'Moss' (the geeky black guy in IT Crowd) also known as Richard Ayoade was part writer on Garth Marenghi (a hilarious Ch4 horror-comedy) with Matthew Holness, and Holness played a small role in The Office as 'Simon' who was the tech guy who installed a firewall on Tim's PC and talked at length with Gareth about Chuck Norris and go-karting.

:l

ol:. that's funny that

is, but so true. lol. Mates. Yayer.

I made the desicion not to read any of those ...

Anyway, i think you're right. I don't see any relaton with it to the office. This is about 3 people around computers. One not knowing much about real life, one knowing about both, and one knowing not much about computers. That and the office doesn't have backgroud laughing.

It was actually surprisingly good, the e-mail part in the 2nd episode had me in stitiches!

Still though, had nothing on "My Name is Earl"....

Just watched the first two episodes and I don't think it's that funny. The funniest part from the first two episodes was when Maurice was reading the instructions on the fire extinguisher, but apart from that I never really laughed at it. A bit of a disappointment, IMHO.

People have different tastes, but any series does not come into full swing. Until it is half way through the series.

Sorry to bring back this thread from the dead but a buddy of mine just turned me onto this show and I think it's excellent. I guess I enjoy it so much since I can relate to it quite a bit. Apart from being the internet sales guy at my office, I've also been designated the IT some how and it's funny how much of this stuff is true.
